Yeah I know. :) I just meant because I'm obese I still might even be morbidly obese and all the health risks that come with that.:) Chances are I will be around at that age. :)

Thanks Becky. :D

I have had some health issues. Went to the doctor on Tuesday. Feeling really tired, exhausted, running a 100+ fever. Aches and pains all over, headache.
Blood pressure was 158/92    I about fell off the table. It's always around 100/60. I could see heart beating in eyesight.
Doc sent me for bloodwork, but he was of the opinion that body level of ketones is too high due to such a low carb diet. He said symptoms of Ketosis(?) can present as flu-like symptoms.
Bloodwork came back normal. :?:

I'm not totally convinced that is what the problem is - doesn't explain the actual fever I've been having for 2 weeks now.

Anyway, I've added back in to diet some carbs, and actually feel a bit better. Still dealing with fever and elevated HR. Blood pressure has come down, but is still higher than normal.

Haven't worked out all week.

Don't want to gain any weight back!

Hope everyone else's week has gone better than mine. :)

Hi all, thanks Becky - I am feeling a bit better.

Actually spent last week in the hospital. :( Turned out I was sicker than I thought. Long story, but suffice to say I am glad they found what was going on and are taking steps to correct it.

May be facing some surgery in the next few weeks.

Taking one day at a time. :)

No working out allowed right now.

Weight is 154. :D 9 lbs away from goal of 145.

The best thing to do then, is monitor your calories, possibly cut around 200 a day out right now, because you'll be burning less than usual, or alternatively, keep them in and consider doing even 20 minutes walking a day for 3-4 days of the week.

If you do reduce calories for a temporal amount of time, then I'd suggest reducing the 200 a day, by cutting around 100 out of the last 2 meals, at a time of the day when your metabolism is going to be less ramped anyway, compared to the morning.

You might thne find you could od the 20 minutes walking after your first meal, to capitalise on the early morning cranked metabolism assuming you could fit it in then.

The main thing though is to try and remain positive and not let the circumstances get to you too much and if you need to talk I'm here for a discreet one to one, but GOOD LUCK and best wishes Lynne. I'm proud of you for everything you've achieved to date and i want you to stay positive, keep focused on the future, be strong and keep your chin up.

I am confident you'll pull through this and you'll be fine, because you're an amazing person and I think you've got what it takes to stay on top of this, whatever it is and come back strongly :).
