Am I on the right track?

Re: Am I on the right track?
body makes alcohol... Well that's just odd! Lol.
So I have noticed I have started doing something totally unco with squats and was trying hard to correct it.. Maybe you might have some tips .. Or not!
Anyways I have noticed and it's seems to be getting worse that I am pulling down on the bar and leaning too far forward at the ends of sets and last sets... It's really hard to not pull on it for some reason, I don't know why I have started doing this!?!? Any ideas.

Re: Am I on the right track?
It might be a grip issue.
Somne people use a supinated grip with one hand and a pronated one with the other, but it's better to use the same grip with both hands.
If you are using a different grip with both hands, try the same grip with both hands.
If you are using the same grip with both hands, use the reverse of that grip with both hands and see what happens.
Also try and remember that squatting is similar to trying to sit in a chair and if you're not keeping your head up properly and staring at the floor a lot, try to keep your head up so you're preventing kyphosis of the cervical vertebrae, as they should be relatively flat not convex.

Re: Am I on the right track?
thanks Boss man I will try that style of grip next time, I think it will help.
I am having some problems.. sister is getting in ear telling me I look fat and I'm doing it wrong and I shouldn't be eating so many calories and look at all the other ppl who gain muscle theyre not fat.. you looked so much better when you didn't have love handles, look at your gut!
it's getting to me, as much as I try tell her I will lose the weight after. I weighed myself at the gym today I was 61.7 that's after a shake this morning. to me that's decent enough.. I started at 60 kilos (weighing before eating or drinking anything). She thinks of me when I was 55 kilos as looking great and doesn't understand why I am doing what I'm doing.
I'm just feeling a bit lost for direction atm I guess.... how long do you think I should aim to gain before I try to cut back some fat? I know you said it will happen gradually but what about losing some serious fat... I know I can lose a decent 1 kilo a week when I want..
I'm still getting use to new gym, some equipment I preferred at old gym but there is some equipment they have I cant wait to get into
I went up in leg press too.. was pretty proud and pushed myself really well.. I was grunting along with the men haha.. felt good and tender today.
its hard to get use to the equipment because most of it instead of having the amount of weight it just has levels.. so I'm still trying to work out where I'm at.
anyways... just thought I'd check in with homies..

Re: Am I on the right track?
I am glad you are getting along at the new gym. You sound positive about it so that to me is great!
As for your sister, best tell her not to get up in your grill. Do remember, muscular at 65 kilos will look far "sexier" than carrying extra at 61 kilos and that is where you aretrying to head. I would even hazard a guess it will look sexier than the skinny 55 kilos and no real muscle to account for.
Lets not forget the bqby you have had. Finally and most importantly, is it not your body and health and how you view and judge yourself... Not your sister? i understand she loves you but is her way healthier for you or yours? which makes you happier? do what is best for you and your peace of mind sweety, not your sister's Obviously you can be alot more eliquent than I with your sibling buti am sure you see what i mean.
Hope i didnt overstep a line... Keep up the hard work!
Cheers

Re: Am I on the right track?
The thing about her telling you she thinks you are doing it wrong, means she probably knows little about it, as she says she doesn't understand why you are doing what you are doing.
The fact is your calories are nothing exorbitant, as they are slightly over the female sedentary average. There are top amateurs and pros who could eat 3,000+ calories per day and you're eating around 2,000.
You're still learning and you're still trying to work out where you should be at lifting wise and finding the best level of weight to use on all your lifts and you ARE progressing and you ARE seeing results, but it is a case of self belief, time and patience.
You're a beautiful Lady Jade and nothing will change that, but becoming stronger and fitter has the potential to enhance your quality of life forever and allow you to accentuate the looks and image you already have.
Be proud of caring about yourself so much and keep pushing, you're doing great and you ARE worht it and you WILL get what you want.
Chin up, be strong and no worries okay

Re: Am I on the right track?
You're not complaining as such Jade, you're just asking questions and trying to gain continued understanding of your circumstances.
Rome wasn't built in a day and whilst it was being built people learned along the way, about a pre-defined vision of how it should turn out and how quckly it can be built and how much it costs, versus actually discovering it might take longer, cost more and need sort of modifications to be properly inhabitable.
The point being in a roundabout way, that you asking questions is all part of the process and helping you to gain more understanding and make more sense of things.
You're human, so remember that and don't see it as a fault or a weakness, because you DO have a really good heart, so being human is an asset
.
Keep persevering and keep updating us on how you're getting on yeah

Re: Am I on the right track?
That's proof you're doing something right then isn't it and it makes you happy, so it's two for the price of one
