Running! YAY for Running!

Post by scoonie »

Quick question. What would be a good time to run? Most people I know run in the morning because they prefer to get it out of the way. I have ran in the afternoon after I get off of work and I find myself suffering due to the food that I had eaten for lunch.

Then there's your Answer. Have something like a Yoghurt, and then go running first thing. Just so you've got some energy to run. Also, as Bloodsugar is low, it would be advised to have some liquid simple Carb. Something like Gatorade, Powerade, Grape Juice, because Cardio can further reduce Bloodsugar, and this will help to reduce that or even stop it.

I would drink the liquid regularly whilst running, have a bit to start, but don't have the whole lot beforehand, space the rest so you finish it about when you stop running.

I would give the Yoghurt about 30 minutes to start digesting, before you run. Being semi-liquid, it shouldn't be a problem, and you won't be having a large portion, so you shouldn't feel cut up rough, which you're saying is the case in the afternoon.
