age to start weight lifting

when is it okay to start liftin weights...dumbells etc.

once you can do 15 x 1 Leg Squats, 20 x Push Ups from feet, 15 x Bodyweight Pull Ups and 10 x Handstand Push Ups with perfect form on each rep

I can perform double the reps of all of those but i cant do a s ingle handstand pushup


what i think he meant was the age for which lifting is good
What i would say is to not do anything if your too young and small. Wait until your a certain height that you want to be at and then start weight lifting. Maybe 15 is a good age to start. I think before that, childrens bones are too weak and under developed to support weight that is too heavy. I would probably go with pushups and what swans mentioned before until about 15 or until whoever is doing the lifting appears to be developed enough.
