Health Advice
Hi all, I was working out today and really started to feel the burn, I fought through it and noted that I started to lose feeling in right foot. Is that normal?

Re: Health Advice
hey i am no fitness guru, but I think that could be the cause of too restrictive of clothing. If you were wearing "hot pants" as I say wife always wears to show off to the guys at the gym, they may cut into your blood flow and may cause loss of feeling. If you are concerned though, you should definitely seek medical attention.
Just thoughts and wife is in school for an MD but Im not her.

Re: Health Advice
Numbness does not always mean something bad. It could be circulatory (in same position too long, restrictive clothing) or it could be neurological like like a slipped disk, impingement, etc. If it went away shortly after I wouldn't worry about it, but if it continues or worsens you might want to get it looked at. When starting an exercise program remember that less is more. Start gradually, and increase your work load slowly over several weeks to build a base of conditioning. Over training may lead to injury and cause a delay in training. Feeling a little soreness is normal, but overwhelming pain just means you are exceeding your bodies current recuperative capacity.

Re: Health Advice
When do you feel the numbness? All the time? When doing specific exercises? Is it associated with pain? If so, where does the pain manifest itself?
Re: Health Advice
I am no doctor so dont take this as gospel beacuse the last thing i want is for you to carry on and hurt yourself!
A little numbness sometimes happens to me so I dont think it it too bad - but if it constantly happens in the same place when you exercise then it might be worth trying different variables (clothing, shoes etc) and if it persists then go see a doctor. Always better to be safe.

Its nothing unusual i think. Maybe its the clothing, or It could be circulatory. I think everyone got sometimes the same problems in the GYM .. So don't panic
