Peanut butter is something family eats a lot of.
It's super easy to make and it's much cheaper to make it your self. So I do and thought I would share how I do it.
mama made it when I was growing up and we have never had a recipe so you will kinda have to play it by ear.

Here is what you will need.
ROASTED PEANUTS
OIL
SUGAR
SALT
I buy peanuts from the farmers market when I can. Make sure they are not green.( green ones are for boiling) sometimes I get caught off guard and I buy pre roasted ones, in the shell from the dollar store.
If peanuts are raw then put them in a shallow pan, even layer. Cook at about 400 for 8-10 minutes. Take them out and let them cool a bit. They will continue to cook in the shell so don't leave them in the oven to long.
Shell them.( Great job for kids who like to help).
I use Ninja but you can use a food processor or whatever to grind them. I've heard that you can simply grind them up for a healthy nut butter. I add oil, sugar and salt to mine.
I drizzle the oil as I go and add sugar and salt to your taste. Blend it until you have the consistency you like.
That's it. Put it in whatever jars you have and refrigerate..
You may have to stir it some before use but it is so worth it.

Wow, I was just wondering how to do this. I recently bought some unsalted peanuts because I noticed they were WAY cheaper than cashews. Then I got to thinking how to make own pb.
On another note, chunky hazelnut butter is really good. I buy a natural off-brand from work. Its great in the morning on toast with some sliced strawberries and 8 oz of skim or almond milk.
