Cycling

Post by Christon »

I have added cycling as part of regular workout routine, I was just wondering if it is necessary to do any other leg exercises if I do cycling and what leg exercises are necessary.

Cycling is a great cardio workout but not enough to cover all of your leg muscle. Look at doing squats, and some calf raises. Doing deadlifts will also help the quad area.

another simple calf exercise is sitting down on a bench, bed or anywhere and simply raising up your heelwhilst keeping yourtoes on the ground, its very easy but effective, can also be done with a weight on the top of the knee

I don't agree Swanso, someone like me who has genetically tiny calves. I have to pay a little more attention to them, or else it looks like I am walking on stilts.

mostly genetic so at best you might out 1" on them in your lifetime...not a lot of reward for a lot of work if you ask me
