Anyone use Slimful bars?

Post by luvmyc6 »

Hi everyone! I'm brand new to this forum, and I want to hear your feedback on the new Slimful bars.

After seeing the advertisements on TV and the internet, I decided to give them a try. They work on the premise that if you eat one as a snack with at least 8 oz. of water that the bar will increase to 4x its size, thereby curbing your hunger and makes you feel full for four hours! It is only 90 calories, and comes in four flavors, honey almond, chocolate, ( favorite) orange and I forget the other flavor.

I wanted to test this product out before giving opinion, and I have to say that this product does what it says! I drink a big glass of water with meal, and eat the bar as sweet treat (I'm a big fan of Lean Cuisine) and I definitely feel full.

I haven't seen any reviews on this product on the web yet as it is still a relatively new product.

Please post your opinion and experience if you have tried Slimfil.

To be honest I mistrust anything with 90 calories, because if you need a certain amount of calories per day it means in other meals you're having to eat a lot more calories to make up for the ones you didn't eat elsewhere.

Plus something is meant to swell up in your gut when you consume it with water sounds a bit strange.

yes. they work for me.but i say keep in mind that everything doesn't work for everybody.it says you can eat up to three bars a day, but i only need one.i literally have to remember to eat.i saw the other response about the calories, but Ive read that a person can go weeks without eating but that we wont survive without water for three days.with that being said 90 calories a day just speeds up the weight loss process.lol!also, Ive noticed that if i don't eat them for a couple of days they're still working on body.I say try them for yourself and I wish you the of best luck in this war against the bulge!

BOSS MAN- SLimful is not meant to be a meal replacement bar. It is meant to aid a person in eating smaller portions, not necessarily unhealthy portions. Unfortunately, as you well know, the geniuses that live on this planet probably use it as a meal replacement bar. I will say, that there are naturally occurring foods on this planet that can also curb hunger. Healthy snacking is also a better bet, such a vegetables or nuts.

THAI78- NO!! Slimfuls are NOT MEANT to REPLACE any meals!! THey are meant to either be taken with a meal to encourage you to eat a smaller or healthier portion, or between meals to discourage unhealthy snacking!! The human body may be able to sustain itself without food, BUT IT IS NOT HEALTHY!! IT IS CALLED STARVATION MODE! You will lose weight because your body begins to EAT ITSELF and ALL of your nutrients! Since you seem to be more worried about the weight loss than you are the health, hear this, you may lose weight but as soon as you begin to eat normally again your body will absorb everything and you will gain the weight back. You would have to continuously starve yourself to maintain your weight. There is a name for this DISEASE, it's called ANOREXIA! Please research healthier ways to reach your goal, I.E healthy eating habits etc.
