Post by rick_2013 »

Hello
Just started working out again after 10 yrs.I am doing a 5 day round robin workout. I use a pull up bar and pushup bar,and 2 30lb dumbells.
Is it safe for me to use a whey protein sup at age,and is it safe to do the routine i am using.I do chest & tris, back & bi and sh & leg.
Thanks for any input

You should be fine on the workouts, but if you ever experience any discomfort or pain, stop and assess either technique or exercises used ot see if you can correct any issue before it gets worse, or if you think the problem would persist with exercise, rest up for a few days, or perhaps get a clinical assessment and as for the whey, it's okay providing you adhere to a couple caveats.

Don't use one with Caffeine in it if you're sensitive to caffeine or have a heart problem.

Don't bother with the expensive ones, as they're a waste of money and as many such ones contain herbal content in them, you may get a reaction if you take any medication, or did so in the future, depending on the medication and herb(s), in the whey product.

Other than that, protein shakes are fine for most people.
