New guy

Post by davidlevington »

Hey all,

I'm new to this website.

name is David, and I'm finally trying to get fit. I have always been a chubby nerd, but recently I've decided to change it. I'm trying to work out for about an hour every day, and trying to run for 30-40 minutes 5-6 times a week. I still suck at it. The best I can run is 3.5 minutes at 9km/h, and then 1.5 walking at 5km/h.

I'm also trying to avoid eating fat things or drinking soda, but sometimes, when I go out with some friends of mine, I sin.

I'm 1.82m tall, weight is 82.6kg, and body fat is 22.6%. How long do you guys think it will take me to get fit? Any good tips?

The timeframe cannot be calculated really in terms of how quickly you could get fit, it's just a case of taking it a day at a time.

Your diet might be something that could be a big factor depending on what you're doing already, so what foods do you eat and what times do you eat them?

Hey David,

What about a personal trainer? Maybe you should use one.
A reputable and experienced trainer will definitely help you get fit.

Good luck! 8)

advise to you is to start slowly and don't over commit. I can't tell you how often I see people quit because they bit off more than they can chew. You can always add more sessions per week as you go. It's better to feel a desire to do more rather than less. Vary your workouts, make some days harder and others easier and allow enough off time for recovery.
Best,
