What foods do you eat and what times do you eat?

Do you do any exercise at the moment and if so, what is it and what days and times?

The best way to lose weight (the right way... to keep it off) is to be burning more calories than your taking in and to be taking in the right kinds of calories.

By planning, you can set yourself up for success. I know that for myself, if I'm very hungry and don't have a snack around, I will stop at Webdy's and get a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger and a frosty... so I ALWAYS keep a bottle of water with me (because more than half the time, dehydration is mistaken by the body as hunger) and Special K bar's in purse.

Plan your meals. Try not to eat out and if you do, eat out wisely. Learn to ask for nutrition contents (it actually feels kind of embarressing at first but you'll get over it... and it's illegal for a restaurant not to have one available for every meal they serve). Figure out what type of diet is right for you (some people say no-carbs works, some people high-fat, some people say just overall decreasing calories) and do research on it beforehand to make sure it's a safe diet and you know how to perform it safely. Then plan your meals and snacks for that diet. Explain to your family and friends your weightloss goals so that they can help you and not hinder you ( family definetly hinders me so I try to eat before I know I have to be with them!).

Next comes exercise. You need to find an exercise that will work for you so you won't dread working out because to lose weight successfully, it really needs to be done. For me, I teach Zumba a few times a week (if you are into that kind of thing, zumba is an AWESOME way to lose lbs and meet great people!) and I also strength train at the gym (I go to the YMCA, through college I have a free membership... I'm lucky) 3-5 times a week. Different people say different things but I honestly believe that the quickest way to lose weight is cardio out the butt hole (cardio, cardio, and even more cardio). Find tips and tricks that will make working out easier for you... for me, it's always having Ipod and water bottle with me because I NEED music to workout and water is so great for....everything!

Get enough sleep, try to reduce stress as much as possible, and build a good network of people who will help you achieve your goals.

Feel free to email me at [email protected]. It's nice to have a friend for the long journey that is weight loss (God knows I wish I'd had someone to encourage me when I first started losing weight at 15 years old). If you want, I also send out a weekly email with tips, tricks, and products you can buy that I've tried and have helped me (along with coupons or deals I've scored because I'm an instructor (you can read more about that on jades(dot)zumba(dot)com) that I extend to all students and weight-loss friends).

I hope this helped you! I wish you the best of luck!

Added muscle burns more calories, so weigthts and Cardio is very effective.

The risk with a lot of cardio is the person can do too much or just do something that remains repetitive, because it's the same thing every time and depending on what it is, the body might get used to it decreasing efficacy, or the person may get bored and put off cardio.

Some people might be limited, for example if they have no bike and want to swim but no pool access.

I beleive cardio works, but I'd polite suggest Weights can Cardio, rather thna just a complete cardio regime :).

Anything worthwhile which can include things like Tae-bo, Zumba, maybe even Salsa etc, can be beneficial I believe.

I would reccomend line dancing though, as I think people would lose a limited amount of weight and it looks dorky
