Above avg fitness but 30% bf argh!

Hi everyone

Any advice anyone can give me would be appreciated! =)

So I was previously a UK size 12 and got down to an 8 through getting a lot fitter, eating better etc

However a bad breakup at the start of the year and a lot of stress means weight and dress size has crept back up to a UK 10 =(

I went to see a pt to make me a plan and she says I am above average fitness (once I got over the break up was back in the gym 4-6 times a week) but I'm the heaviest I have been in ages.

So do I need to continue to up game exercise wise? Do i need to overhaul diet? or both? I really struggle with low carb but have heard so many people swear by it

I would literally do anything to get back to previous weight =(

You can go a couple of ways with the ratios of your food.

33% / 33% / 33%, protein / carbs / fat

40% / 30% / 30%, protein / carbs / fat

I think either of those will work for you.
