when bulking up does this mean like getting big muscles or just becoming big, and cutting is this small with sort of like well defined muscles?

Bulking is to gain mass. Cutting is to reduce Fat, to gain definition with as little muscle loss as possible.

ok well i wanna be big but not huge (i am a hardgainer) and wanna have some muscle so would bulking up be best for me? sorta like in batman begins or american psycho but not that big
