Seeking help

Post by Lady_81 »

Hi I am new here, and I need some help.
I am a 215lb 5.1" female, I am 30yrs old and I need to lose over 70 lbs. I am lost as to where to start, I dont know what sort of diet I should be on or even what foods to buy, how to portion out meals and even how to start dieting. I am not very active and I smoke which I know i need to stop doing in order to start excerciseing. I am not to concentrated on the quitting smoking right now I am more interested on what I should be eating, if I could lose 10-15 lbs in the next month to month and a half then I will start focusing on the exercise part. I am trying to find a diet that would allow me to eat 4-6 small meals per day so I can stay full and not binge eat, which I currently do. weight is affecting moods and making me feel depressed and not motivated in anyway, I didn't get this way over night but the last time I wad this big I lost the weight in a matter of months but I was 18 then, I though It would be easy this time and have been failing miserably. Could someone give me some advice about what diets I should be looking into, that would help me plan out a meal list and how to portion out food.

Thank you

This is what I give some people and I think it would work for you.

This is the sort of thing I've posted before, that might help.

Any other questions feel free to ask.

Breakfast

Option 1.

Bowl of Whole-grain Cereal and scrambled Eggs, (2 Egg Whites + Yolk)

Option 2.

1/2 Protein shake, small portion of Nuts, (excluding higher carb ones like Cashews, Chestnuts and Grapenuts), + Apple. Give the Apple 10-15 minutes to digest to improve digestion.

Snack

Option 1.

Portion of Turkey + Orange

Option 2.

Some Chicken + Raw Carrott.

Lunch

Option 1.

Large Beef Sandwich with trimmings, I.E. Tomato, Lettuce, Cucumber etc.

Option 2.

Bowl of Chicken Soup, + Pot of yoghurt.

Snack

Option 1.

Turkey + Cashews

Option 2.

Ham + 2 large Tomatos

Dinner

Option 1.

Pork with mashed Potato.

Option 2.

Chicken and Rice

Option 3.

100g Halibut + Broccoli

Snack

Option 1.

Beans on Toast

Option 2.

Ham Sandwich, no trimmings.

Easy on the bread with both options.

You could add a few things to certain meals, like Sea Salt, Cracked Black Pepper. Parsley, Mustard, Herbs, Garlic.

Thank you for the responses,
I was actually holding of on shopping trip to the grocery store till I got a response.
Bossman could I follow this plan for a whole week, switching something things around just to have options?
Also I am in the US most of our sandwich meats are over salted and not healthy, would you recommend me making own meats for this plan so I have control of salt intake. I mostly use sea salt and pepper but I will be looking into more healthy options for seasonings. This is gonna be hard since I have never followed portion rules I just fed myself till I was full so we'll see how this goes.

bendetwile2...I will PM you now.

and thank you both again.

You could make your own meats and make one or two alterations to the plan yes, as the plan options are not set in stone.

Bendetwile, it might be easier to post what you have to offer on the forum, because if the individual continues this discussion, using private disclosures myself and others haven't seen, it may confuse matters for one or more people :).

Providing that is the disclosures, don't come with some kind of promotion of yours, or someone elses information, that has an unnapproved or not permissable for profit context.
