I am a looking to tone up chest. Right now theres absolutely no tone to chest, its just fat. What exercises can I do to accomplish then, and lose the fat in that area or just, well tighten it up so its not so flabby? I have been doing push ups now for over a month and I have greatly increased the amount of repetitions I can do, but I don't feel like I am working out chest area, its more in shoulders and upper arms.. Am I not doing them correctly? Do I need to have arms further apart?
Simply what I would like answered.
- How do I lose fat in chest area and tone it up?
- What exercises can I do?
- How many reps and how many times each week?
Also, It would help me out greatly, for a bit of confidence and a morale booster if this is something that you have personally done, or know that will do the job. I just feel like no matter how hard I try or exercise nothing changes.

Spot reducing a particular area is very hard. I read somewhere once it's possible through the way the body regulates its hormones, but in general you won't manage it.
However, it may be a diet related issue moreso than a training related issue, but having said that 1lb of extra muscle will burn an added 45-50 calories a day, so don't neglect the weight training elements.
What meal choices do you currently eat and what tiems do you eat? I think diet could be a more primary focus right now over training, with training being a supplementary thing.
