here's beef.
i'm addicted to coca cola. i would drink 1x 500ml bottle a day.
i thought this was reasonable.
then i hit a rough patch with girlfriend or 6 years, and started drinking up to 3 liters of the stuff a day.
its only when things are bad or i feel down that i drink in excess.
i can feel it affecting health and making feel sick, but like a drug, i feel good when drinking it.
i was on a role with 3 days without any, no cravings or anything.
then it all went horribly wrong and i went running for the black stuff.
I know this makes me sound like a wet girls blouse
Does anyone have any advice?
I dont want to start piling on the weight again.
the exercise isnt a problem, im covering 40km a day on bike and in the gym every other day.
i'm sure im not the only one with a cola addiction, or that comfort eats/drinks?
how to kick comfort drinking/cola cola?

Re: how to kick comfort drinking/cola cola?
i actually just kicked cola addiction and caffeine addiction. I'm not perfect i wish i could say all i drink now is water but that's not the case. i do try to drink water too though along with a koolaid mixed with stevia.
To get rid of coke i slowly weaned myself off. Started with 2 cans a day and every week lowered the amount down so i wouldn't get a headache. For me it took about a month to do. What helped was if i had a craving or went out to eat i would order root beer instead of coke which is caffeine free. I"m happy to report i am now coca cola free and i have no soda in the house whatsoever.
I do want to quit drinking the koolaid too but one thing at a time.
