hi, I have been trying to lose about 10 pounds off stomach, and have decided to try cycling instead of HIIT (can never get into either running or rope jumping), and was wondering what is a good time to do it for, and how may days per day... I am a 20 year old , 195 pounds... have been recently doing 2 hours per day, but not sure whether that is overdoing it, and whether this will cause body to go into "starvation mode" as I have heard in this forum... I consume around 2500 calories per day, which with the excercise still leaves a big deficit, but I was wondering whether that 2500 keeps body working alright?
Thank you

2 hras is way too much...i'm in a fat loss phase now (just started) that has me doing about 40 - 50mins/session x 4 sessions/week with abiout the same cals (slighlty lower as I'm only 72kgs)...HIIT can be done on the bike just as easily...start out with 10mins doing 90secs as easy as you can then 30secs as fast as you can...with the 30secs find a RPM that you can hold for the whole 30secs not start off in ablaze of glory and trail off the last 5secs or so...once you can do 10mins at one intensity level, increase it next time and repeat...once you get to a pedal resistance you just can't do, go back to the start and change times to 100 / 20 and repeat...also do 3 full body wt sessions a week and cardio after it or evry 2nd day
