Almond Milk

Hi I don't really like eating nuts, but I do like almond milk (store-bought). I drink quite a bit. Does anyone know if drinking almond milk is as good for you as eating the nuts (minus the fiber and fat, of course.) The milk does have some fat, so I figure I'm getting some of omegas. Thanks for any ...

Thanks. That's a good idea. I'm gonna try interval training today. So, how much should I weight train if I run every day?

Thanks for the tips. I guess I run every day mostly because I'm OCD :? I like to get cardio every day and can't think of anything that doesn't work legs. Plus, it's the most convenient. I really don't want to build mass in legs, so is there any reason to weight train for legs except inner/outer thig...

Running/weight training

I'm a runner (3 1/2 miles every day) but I'd like to start strength-training more. Since legs get worked every day, I was thinking I should skip quads, hamstrings, calves, glutes (although I'm not thrilled with glutes.) Am I thinking right, or just being lazy?

Thanks for any input!

Cardio

Thanks for the replies. But, how does he know if he's lifting weights hard enough to receive cardiovascular benefit? He doesn't seem to breathe as hard lifting as he does running. Then, when he rests in between, of course his heart rate would go down, right? And what do you mean by "short rests...

How much cardio?

husband lifts weights 3 times a week, and jogs for 10 minutes afterward. I think he needs to get more cardiovascular exercise for his health (his dad just had a heart attack.) How much cardio should he get? Does weight-training "count" for any cardio?
Thanks for any help!
