You could try CLA (Conjugated linoleic acid) for weight maintainance/loss, its very wideley available, you can even buy in supermarkets. I use fingerless leather ones (I also use them for motorbiking in the summer!) just make sure you get ones that fit right, if they're too loose the glove will rub your palm while you're holding the weights and if they're too tight you'll restrict circulation to your hands and loose grip.
