push ups.. ways to build strenght for them?

I'm a petite 17year old female. about 5'5 and 110-115 lbs. I'm enlisted in the military and i can do everything but push ups. I leave in less then a month for basic training and trying to do push ups is killing me. I just dont feel like i have the arm/chest strength no matter what I do to push mysel...

I have a nice size but but i want to lift because butt seems fuller at the top so does anyone know any good exersizes that will help lift and shape? something thats more targeted to the bottom of the gluets

I have acess to an exersize ball, a weight bench where i can do things like presses and leg curls ect. 2,3,5,and 10 lb free weights. a really good jump rope(from a boxer i know). lots of THE firm tapes and the Firm step. and good running space. for now i'll have to do most of everything at home. and...

this should help

use a medicine/exersize ball. it helps eliminate back pain. i had the same problem with keeping back flat on the floor because butt kept lower back lifted up. so the ball works the best. and you can really feel the workout better.
