I have a few of the tracks on MP3 download, but not the full thing.
I'm suprised they never tried to get back together again for the umpteenth time, but I guess Robert Fripp finally had enough. Presumably Sinfield, Haskell and other past members may have felt it sinful to do it without Fripp.

I had an great day and a strange one because of a mistake I made. Being a techie I decided to reward myself for finally doing a run outdoors last Thursday so this morning I bought myself a Garmin Forerunner 405. After charging it up I went out to the lakefront and did a 5K. It was much harder than doing 5K on the treadmill in fact I struggled to complete it. Later on after workout I did weekly weight in. I was shocked. I tipped the scale at 255. That is 6 pounds less than last weigh in a week ago. So I am down 23 pounds since starting at the gym and joining this site. It is also a total of 43 pounds since January when I started eating right.
Now for the mistake. I just down loaded the gps data to computer and here is the result

No I did not break any speed records, but it looks like I did slightly more than 5K. That also may explain the weight loss.

Wow, that's awesome Edgar!! 4.33 miles! And congrats on the 6lb weight loss and overall total weight loss. You are doing great.
I had never heard of a Garmin Forerunner 405, so I googled it.....
OMGosh! I am so jealous! I want one! I had no idea such a thing was out there! It says it wirelessly transfers the watches info to your computer when it gets in range, no cables, no hookups - that freakin' fantastic! And the touch screen that lets you go to different features without having to fumble around for the different buttons - awesome.

I did strength training in the gym today and a 30 minute walk on the treadmill. I am planning heading on back to the lakefront again tomorrow. This running thing is starting to get adictive. I started working out to get health back and drop weight I am surprised that I am getting into this running thing. I hated it when I was in the Marine Corps.

You are doing AWESOME Edgar! I'm so glad you found this site! It's a wonderful place - the people are great and you feel like part of a greater family. Not to mention people with lots of great advice who offer encouragement and for me I feel like I kind of have someone to answer to - LOL

First off, thanks everyone for the support. I went to the lakefront again today. I decided not to go for distance, but to go for 30 minutes. goal was to increase run to walk ratio. Before the run best effort at sustained running without walking was Sunday when I ran 7 minutes before walking a bit. So, when I began the run today I decided to try to beat that. I made the 7 minutes so I decided to try and extend it to 10 minutes. After I made the 10 minutes I felt I should try for 15. At about the 14 minute mark I thought what the heck go for 20. As I approached the 20 minute mark I felt I could go the distance. I had queued up on iPod Sticky Fingers by the Rolling Stones for the run so at around the 22 minute mark when You Got to Move Came came on it almost made me laugh. I ended up running the whole 30 minutes without walking. Now, I got to work on time.

That's the way to do it! Make little goals and then when you get there make another little goal - it's amazing how far you can go when you set the little goals
That's how I started running - I would tell myself I was going to run to a certain point, then when I got there I thought, what the heck, I can make it to that bench. Before I knew it I had run a whole mile. That was the day I decided I liked running

It's so exciting to really like whatever exercise you are performing - and to make sure you set realistic attainable but challenging goals. Sounds like you are doing just that..keep up the good work! Just a quick story - while I was always involved in some sport throughout most of life, "exercise" was something I would never do. Now I can't wait to exercise and love every minute of it - course the aches and pains I could live without, but I love exercising....it was a huge surprise to me

I ran with the group today. It was a very easy workout. When I run next Sunday I don't know whether I should try running a whole 3.1 miles without stopping or running for 30 minutes while trying to beat last time. I will have 2 days of rest before hand so legs should be fresh.
I am going to sign up for a 5K that is being run in August. I should be down another 20 pounds by then.

I'm a little older than you and can't do much running - old legs just can't do more than 30-60 seconds of fast sprints! but then again I was never a runner....athletic, but not a runner. Of course 39 years of smoking didn't help - fortunately I got smart a few years ago...hopefully soon enough!
That is a really cool machine you use~! Is it expensive?
