Day 208

Breakfast, protein shake and a bigish bowl of special k ceral with semi skimmed milk.

Yougurt, 80 cals 8g protein. Cooked myself scrambled eggs, not too keen on boiled eggs as they make me feel kinda ill, is scrambled eggs good? Used semi skimmed milk, 3 eggs, bit of salt and pepper, little bit of vegetable oil to cook the eggs, read it and 100g of a 1litre bottle is 900calories everything nil but 100g fat. Yuck, i poured even more out til it was the bare minium.
Had 2 slices of bread with it, which i put some peanut butter on and a handful of peanuts.

Didn't get much sleep last night and was day off today however i decided to do 30mins cardio as i really want this more than ever and i didn't feel too well so i was hoping it would help.

I do feel better for doing the cardio just would feel better if i had a 6 pack and not this fat, i know it may seem like im complaining, but im just saying it's been over 6 months and ive changed lifestyle alot in that 6 months, sure arms have got a bit bigger and sometimes i look a little bit bigger like you can see pecs a little bit (when im cold) but other than that, what have i achieved in the past 6 months?

Some areas ive lost the fat, like you can see ribs sometimes, but im still the same weight, i used to be a little bit overweight (not terribly fat) about a year ago, but when i lost the majority of it, the fat covering still remained, is it possible for it ever to go? It just looks odd with the rest of body - almost as if im always bloated.

I'm sorry to blow out at porption like this, just saying what's on mind right now, thanks for taking the time to read it though i really do appreciate your time and help.

Dinner i think is quiche but about 1/4 of it is 240 cals, 15g fat high sat fat, and about 6.7g protein, now im struggerling with what to eat and don't want to keep eating supplements in replacements, but it's not like i can even eat the non pastry bits as with quiche only a small amount is pastry.

Ok ignore what i said about quiche, it wasn't for dinner but something just as bad, cheese + onion in a pastry, ate most of it's insides, not the pastry, mash, in cheese sauce and greens. So not great, ate some chicken pieces out of a ready meal with rice but just ate the chicken bits, about 20gs protein.

Meals look good Martin.

Hows life? Any decisions on those weights?

Also... have you thought about taking some updated progress pics to compare to the ones you took a few months back? I think its a good idea to see how your body has changed over the past months. Just thoughts.

Hope all is well. You're doing great and, as always, I'm proud of ya!

Thanks again Cassie, feeling alright in myself, and about the weights the heavier ones 100kg (barbell and dumbbell) (£150) ends in a week, so i'll have to make a offer on those or may just buy the cheaper ones, more likely, dumbbells about 23kg on each one for £67.

Did the cardio, but to be honist could of really done without it today, tired and legs were aching, but still done it as im really determined to lose the fat. However i hope dinner didn't kind of ruined it, not much food options unless i want to be eating tuna constantly, mash, spaghetti, 3 spicy sausages.

:x Feel bloated and even fatter :?

Day 211

Breakfast protein shake and bowl of shreaded wheat both with semi skimmed milk.

Lunch - 4 eggs, bit of semi skimmed milk, made scrambled eggs :D

Dinner chicken korma meal, 400 cals, 64g carbs, 21.5g protein 5.8g fat.

Protein shake whilst working out but feeling a bit fatigue today, maybe where i decided to do the workout later on in the day or maybe where i haven't had a rest day. But yeah tried just couldn't get into it much so session didn't last long.

Going to go for the cheaper dumbbell set i guess, just hope it makes a difference for the money :?

day 212

Breakfast, protein shake but only had a small amount of milk, 2 toast with peanut butter.

Yougurt drink.

Lunch - 2 slices of fresh bread with a little bit of butter, and thick ham slices.

Going to do cardio soon.

Only did about 14mins cardio, i dunno heart wasn't really in it, i wasn't motivated or did i have enough drive, i think alot of this is to do with the fact that before i did the cardio i looked in the mirror and saw shoulder blades, and was concerned that if i keep doing cardio it'll get worse, whilst i want to get a 6 pack i don't want to make myself boney, saying that i do pull ups everyday but don't seem like back is changing? :?

How many grams of protein are you eating a day?

Doing pull ups everyday is probably not a good idea Martin. You need to give your muscles a rest (atleast 24-48 hours) between workouts to let them recover and come back stronger. If youre continually breaking them down they will have a hard time rebuilding stronger. Also, if you're not eating enough protein you'll also have a hard time building muscle as protein is a must for muscle growth.

Maybe its time to cut way back on the cardio. Your heart doesn't ever seem to be in it. Its really hard for me to advice you on what to do Martin because you complain about your stomach fat... and the only way to lose that is to burn more calories than you're taking in. However now you're complaining about your shoulder blades sticking out and youre afraid to do cardio because you don't want to get too boney. Hmmm... need to decide if you want to build muscles or lose fat Martin.

It's complicated because i want a bit of both, i want a 6 pack (last of fat gone) and to bulk up a little (bigger pecs).

Collecting them weights tomorow, but yeah main goal is too lose fat so i have a 6 pack. Sorry bout complaining, it's just im concerned :?

I know what you mean. It can be hard to figure out what you want when you kinda want both fat loss and muscle growth.

I'm excited for those new weights for you!

Martin, are you sure you have fat and its not just skin? If your shoulder blades are sticking out it sounds like you're on the thin side. I don't want to continue advising you to lose fat if you're being overly critical of yourself.... not saying that you are... just saying that i would hate to give you advice that could potentially harm your health. Sometimes when i look in the mirror all I see is a fat whale when in all actuality I'm really not whalish at all... just feel like it sometimes. Know what I mean?

Yeah im sure it's fat i mean when i sit down it folds over like rolls, and that's true about being thin, brothers and mum always say im looking too thin, if it is skin, which i can grab alot of, what can i do about it as i do want a 6 pack. It's horrible looking skin that looks like fat and i really really dislike it which is why im trying to improve it, just hope these weights im buying are going to be worth the money 8)

It could very well be skin Martin. I have no idea because i can't see you but sounds like it might be skin if you're that thin. Hmmm... Honestly do you feel like you've made progress since originally coming to the site? You've gotten stronger right? Are your muscles any bigger?
