Cardio- shoveling snow to get our vehicle out of a 36 inch snow drift from the 16 INCHES of snow we got overnight. Definitely broke all of Oklahoma's previous records.

Powder, with about a half inch of ice underneath. So thankful it wasn't a wet snow! It's bad enough that city snow plows are getting stuck.

Have a bad case of cabin fever. Needless to say, we weren't able to go anywhere today so we worked out on our home gym.

Leg press and leg curls, lat pull-downs, chest press, rows, curls, tricep dips, and crunches. 4 sets of 12 each.

I'm desperately in need of some yaktrax. Anybody tried them out or have suggestions for other traction devices for running shoes?

Yak Traks are great - I've used them in the past and it made a big difference.

Umm... yeah Boss. The Kangaroo jumps look like a not-so-good way to bust backside. Ha.

Still snowed in. And expecting ANOTHER 10 inches on Wednesday possibly. ARGHGHH! This is craziness. I've been doing lots of workouts inside. I'm going to try this workout today. It's something boot camp instructor sent me since we haven't been able to have boot camp.

4 rounds for Time:
25 jumping jacks
10 pushups with a clap
50 jumping jacks
20 dips
25 jumping jacks
10 v-ups
50 jumping jacks
20 bicycles

Then I'll be doing typical weight work: curls, lat pull-downs, rows, leg press, leg extensions, chest press.

On the incredibly bright side, I made one of big short-term goals. I'm out of the Obese range, and down into the Overweight range on the BMI scale!!!

Cardio- 1 hour of shoveling snow off driveway.

100 russian twists with 16lbs of weight, 40 tricep dips, 3 sets of 12 for chest press/lat pulldown/rows/leg press/leg extensions.

Now if only this snow will melt so I have a running path!

Roads are still slick in some spots until this snow melts off completely, so I went to the gym then changed it up a bit at home.

Elliptical 25 mins at 155 strides a minute with incline at 2 and resistance at 17.
Weights- 3/12 of tricep extensions and bicep curl machines, and 3/12 of lat pulldowns at home. 120 Russian twists with 16 lbs of weight.
With free weights- 42 bicep curls to overhead press (til failure), then 30 tricep dips (til failure). 20 squats (16lbs free weight). 5 squats- holding as long as I could until failure.

Hopefully things will go ahead and melt off tonight so I can hit the river trails tomorrow and run!

I'm back. Ugh. I've been sick a lot since last here. I was required to go on a gluten challenge for Celiac testing. I was tested on Friday. Celiac or Gluten intolerance which would explain so much, the cf-like symptoms, malabsorption issues with vitamins, even respiratory problems to a degree. I was amazed at the horrible symptoms I experienced while back on a high gluten diet. Thankfully I haven't gained any weight back, but man, have I been miserable! The doctor ok'd me to be gluten-free again on Friday, saying that I have Gluten Intolerance at the very least.

Anyway, I've been working out about 3x a week, but no where near as hard because energy and overall health has been so bad as of late. I'm hoping now that I'm Gluten-free again I can get back to regular 5-6x a week and continue dropping weight. On the bright side, I'm almost a size 10, which I haven't been since high school!!! Size 16 to almost a 10 in just 8 months!
