so i am going through all clothes and getting rid of all big ones, then i came accross the shirt i had worn in the picture that made me realize i had hit rock bottom. this shirt i will keep to never forget what hard work is paying off! I even had to fold up the extra fabric to show the difference! the sleeves are even huge!

So this cracked me up when I was at the gym thursday. So these guys were walking by (judge a book by its cover) and looked at treadmill AND surprised by running. Later on, one comes back and jumps on the one next to me. He starts at the same speed as me, but only lasted 5 min and had to slow down. So since I hit 2mile mark I decided to show off for all us big girls proving the stereo types are wrong, and put that incline up at its highest and speed walk it back words. It was priceless. Ain't no better feeling than proving others wrong. Lol

today when i was at the gym, i had a lil hard time to keep going, i pulled out phone and brought up the pic posted above this post, then put on this song called the thrill of it by robert randolph and family. the video is on you tube but just under rober randolph. BAM! finished jogging two miles then did a few other odd things on the treadmill. felt great!

so in this kickboxing class the first hr is health. I am loving the book so far. some stuff I have already obtained with in the last yr on own nd the rest is just added info to add to current success. the first two chapters talk about stats in the us and then talks about goal setting and stages for health behaviors. then goes into how to listen to ur body for setting the appropriate workout regime to not cause injemry and to not workout so light that that u don't benifit from it at all. if ur interested in picking up this college book its called fit and well core concepts and labs in physical fitness and wellness. very good reading. I'd suggest picking it up.

finally back down to 223! lost 13pounds this month! I'm only 6 away to where I was 4yrs ago when ny bf and I started dating! I can't wait! I now just have the juice during the day and a meal at nite. weight loss will slow down but will continue. I have noticed the inches drop like crazy. a week ago I was able to fit back into a pair of pants and now I can feel them getting loose! almost back to the size 16. goal was to get to 200 by birthday, I am 23 pounds away. one pound at a time till march. with the dedication I think I will get there!

One thing to be careful of is the rate of loss though. If you lose 13lbs a month, it could be around 3.2lbs a week approximately, but if you start doing something part way through, that accellerates weight loss, then it could be 2-3lbs in 2 weeks, then suddenly 10-11lbs in the next 2 and a bit weeks, so you then could be encouraging a slight amount of crash dieting.

I would suggest your weight loss this month has been pretty uniform, but if the juicing starts to increase it a bit drastically, then consider perhaps replacing a juice with another meal, to add some more calories back in, as that could possibly slow the weight loss down a little, to get it back into a more steady and healthy rythmn.

WELL DONE on what you've done though. The juicing certainly seems to be a benefit for you, so I'd say if you're happy with it, keep doing it, but just pay attention to the levels of weekly weight loss, for the next 4-6 weeks, just to make sure they are staying in a respectable healthy limit.

2-3lbs a week would be a sensible upper limit per week :).

You're doing great overall though and I am proud of you. I really want you to succeed first and foremost for you, but also because I believe there's more you could achieve, than just going for a sustainable slender image :).

thank you so much! a lot of that weight was lost the first week. this week i have been adding in the dinners and on thursdays i include lunch because i get up at 430 am, to to work, then school, and i dont get home until 1030 pm! longggggg day. so i want to make sure i fuel myself especially since i have kickboxing on thursdays as well. so this week i had lost 2 pounds which falls into that range. having the juice at work during the week as really helped me stay away from munchies out of boredom. i havent had the feeling to do it at all this month. its great!

congrats on the weight loss christina. :D so how much juice are you drinking exactly? Do you have your own juicer? Or are you just buying juice? From what i read you are drinking just juice all day and then eating one meal at dinner??

It sounds interesting but the thing is for me i don't know i dont' think juice would fill me up all day. buti suppose you would get use to it. not to mention i have some a whole bunch of health issues that tell me to eat more protein and fat and less carbs. but it is interesting that it's working so well for you, Keep pushing!! :D

late response lol. thank u. the last two weeks I was off, yesterday I went back. I think I will go either everyother week or every two weeks. with school, work, and the health with both grandmothers I have had a hard time staying organized. however, the last two weeks off I maintained it at 223 then this morning I went down to 221. jucing helps create discipline and break old habits. I really do like it as long as I make the time. :)

I think body has decided to fight back this week and tell to take a few steps back. since Thursday I have been really sick. with school, work full time, being friends maid of honor, bc just bought a house so I'm helping him out with that, taking care of grandmother....I don't have any downtime at all! any spare time is always used on homework. even though I have time off work coming up for birthday next month, I think I may request a couple days soon. I need a break. body decided it had enough stress and wanted me to take a chill pill. lol. a friend of mine wants to go with me to have a girl's weekend and stay at a hotel and window shop at place somewhere in the state we haven't been before. she too has been overloaded lately. I think it will really help to just unwind for once.

on another note, I took some pics (too personal for online) but I was shocked at how much stomach went down!!!!! its crazy!!!! I showed one friend today and her jaw dropped. she told me she noticed a difference when she saw me yesterday. it just feels so good to see me really love along. im down to 220 now. only a few pounds away from when I first joined the site. sometimes u have to hit rock bottom to realize what it is you need to do to rise above your problems. I realized that the other day. if I never would of gained all that weight I never would put so much work in educating myself and pay attention to body. I was at 216 for many many yrs and could never loose the weight except for five pounds then put it back on again. now with the knowledge and support system from u guys and some of friends, I feel I have a handle on things. its crazy to think that last yr I was at 242. all the clothes I have been getting rid of in closet...I can't believe how far I have come.
