It's something, if you have a boat to make the time to use it, really fun, but if you don't use them there easy to sell, so you don't have to see it sitting there not getting used. Barbie would rather go play VB, so alot of times I take the boys myself, and we go out......bag thing about that, I don't get to ski....:( I'll keep fingers crossed for ya too, that she'll get one.... :)

nice lake pics Will. That looks so much like the lake behind ma&pa inlaws house in Virginia Beach. husband was raised on that lake and learned to ski, just like your boys are doing. When we go visit them he still goes out and skis - slalom skis, jumps the wake, all that stuff - showing off for me, and i love it! I have tried several times to get up on the skis, and to date longest ride was about 45 seconds before I face planted - but, it was the most exhilarating and fun 45 seconds EVER! :D We are going there in a few weeks - maybe I'll get another shot at it, eh? The hardest part for me is in the water, with the skis on your feet trying to keep them straight, waiting for the boat to start pulling you, then when it starts, I feel like I am being pulled too far forward and then trying to keep legs from crossing one another, all the while being pounded with water and waves in face - balancing, staying upright...and if I get past all of that, oh...for the joy of that blissful feeling when you are gliding across the top of the water, its great! even if it was only 45 seconds.

LMAO.....that is all so true. It can depend on the size of the boat, and whether it has enough power to pull you up quick. We had a smaller boat b4 this one, and I would wait for her to hit it the I would basically do a row, and yank self up out of the water, hands usually ended up just about over head, then the boat would catch up, and could slowly let the rope out. The boat we have now has the power to just pull me up. It can get discouraging putting all the pieces together, but determination can overcome them all. Its quite easy once you get up, the launch to me is by far the hardest part. Glad ur hubby still does it, anything we can do to hold onto youth, I think is good............well within reason, of course..... :D

As long as you have the confidence that you can stay up - if you think you are going to fall, you will :D Will is right, there are so many factors that have to come together to get out of the water, and a lot of it comes down to the power of the boat and the person doing the driving, not just the skill of the skier! Oh, man, Will, now you got me thinking about this all day

Yes, he is just a youngster - only 44 (4 yrs. younger than me  ) and it is so funny because he is not an athlete, doesn't work out or anything, but once a year he gets to ski, and goes all out, shows off for me - then the next two days he is in agony - so sore he can barely walk - course then I have to massage his muscles - all the while, ooo'ng and aww'ng over how incredible he looks on those skis and how impressed I was with him! It's a win win, if ya know what I mean - 8)

Haha....Lynne that rocks. Love how you think. Sorry Joc, should live closer we'd take ya skiing. Totally true about the driver, boat can be loaded with power, but if its not applied properly, it can make for a terrible time. I heard some horror stories of wedgies to China.......

Lynne, admitting she has a toy boy husband. Now we know another reason why you maintain your youthful looks. Clearly toy boy husbands are not that stressful to be married too

Sooooooo funny Lynne, you go for it......I love it.

Les--Yea, the boys were all about the kneeboard until the wakeboard came along....now its all the rage. youngest one was looking at the kneeboard the other day, but didn't ask to go on it (he's 6) He got on it some last year, but hasn't yet this year. Youch on the tubing flip, that sounds baaaaad. Always a little tense moment when someone flips or faceplants, making sure everything works the way its supposed to. First time I went on the kneeboard, I had never seen it done, and thought you had to strap yourself in BEFORE getting into the water.....huh...NOT, I flopped off the back of the boat, and went right upside down in the water, kneeboard float'n, and me sinking.....not a good way to start.......

LOL! OK, Lynne, now I don't feel so bad (even though the age gap with the guy I am seeing is a little larger than you and your husband).
