:P thanks Bossman but I thought you knew.....
"S" is for SEXY!!! :Hahabonk:

Feeling good, working on building back strength and endurance. Going to be checking into some post surgery physical rehabilitation, see if insurance covers it. It will be awesome if it does.
Still have a few more medical issues to clear up but I've come miles since last november!

Thanks Becky, I am slowly improving. I've been thru so much since November. Good news, doctor cleared me to exercise and run again!

On Saturday I met some friends at the trail and we walked/ran over 2 miles. I would walk for a few minutes then run (very slowly) for 30 to 45 seconds then walk again. Did this several times. It felt great to run - still a bit of soreness at surgery site on abdomen, but it was so freeing to be able to break into a run. I felt like crying. :)

On Tuesday I did some work with weights - not heavy but it's a start!
2x10 - cable rows
2x10 - leg extensions
2x10 - lat pull downs
2x10 - chest press
2x10 - seated body ball situps
2x10 - girl style pushups

On Wednesday I did some pool running in our pool at home. We have a round 18' x 18' foot pool. Just jogged in the water around the edges of the pool, made a whirlpool. :P Felt fantastic to do that. Then I used a floaty to support upper body and I did flutter kicks around the pool over and over - don't know how many rounds I did, but got heart rate up and felt the burn in legs.

Weight is steady at 145 lbs. :sunshine:

Hey Lynn, I haven't been able to go too far back to know what your health issues have been, but from what I can see you are doing amazing under very difficult circumstances! Keep it up, you'll be back to your full-on running in no time :thumb:

thanks Joc. :D Yes, i have been dealing with some pretty serious health issues. I've had two major surgeries in the last 7 months and have been undergoing some pretty tough treatments. I choose not to let journal become all about the sickness, but rather focus on the recovery and what I can do to heal myself and get back as much of the strength and good health the Good Lord chooses to give me.

I've got a long way to go, but I've come SUCH a long way already. Thanks for your encouraging words - and don't worry I WILL get back to running and crossfitting. If all goes way I plan to do a half marathon in November. :sunshine: :sunshine:

Never give up or give in!! Give your goals 200% effort and never accept defeat.

Thanks Boss. :D

Did a 15 minute interval treadmill run/walk today. Run for 1 minute walk 2 minutes repeat. Then walked 5 minutes cool down.
10 incline pushup
10 girl style pushups
5 tricep dips (had trouble with these, I've lost so much strength in arms)

Overall a good workout and a step towards recovery. :sunshine:
