I thought I was feeling better, but I now think I may have strep throat :( I finally got up and moving this morning, thinking I was doing better. I took Stewie for a 2 mile run/walk - I had to cut it short because the rain was moving in. Shortly after getting home I realized I shouldn't have done it. If I feel like this in the morning I will be going to the clinic.

It is 80 degrees and extremely humid here today - it is insanity! Normal temps are about 50ish right now. We have some severe weather predicted for this afternoon through tonight, with straight line winds and tornadoes expected. I think I will be heading to stay with mom tonight because all I have is an outside entrance cellar, and it is creepy. I don't want to sleep in the bathtub tonight :D

I heard about those Tornadoes! They may even come to the Northeast where I am! I think I'll turn the news on ...Stay safe ! I started getting a cold and sore throat, went immediately to the doc and they gave the 5 day dose of antibiotic - now it's all gone! I think you have to catch it early.

Feel better!

The tornadoes stayed several miles from here so all is good :D We did have golf ball sized hail, though

Thanks, Lu, I am doing MUCH better! It turned out to be sinus issues - I should have known, I get sinus infections regularly. But I am doing great now :D Unfortunately week of being sick caused me to gain back the two pounds I had lost :( Ok, so I am problably to blame, not the sinus infection, but it makes me feel better to blame it on that

Last night I didn't have time to workout, but I did take a 2.5 mile walk at lunch with a co-worker (and she is a speed-walker  ). So at least I got a bit in.

Tonight I waned to get Stewie out for some exercise, but I wanted more than just a walk/run (I am still scared to run too much, don't want to overdo it on knee). So I ended up walking to sister's house, which is 1.7 miles away (and the perfect distance for Stewie). When I got there I did 30 minutes on the elliptical. Then sister gave me a ride home because it was dark and I hadn't eaten dinner yet.

Tomorrow I am determined to do one of dvd's - I have been procrastinating on those because I know how much they kick butt  But I know I need to start again.

I know what you mean! I need to do Bob's DVD workout at least once or twice a week - it def. kicks butt. Glad you are better! :D

I didn't get a workout in last night - I am a sucker for helping people out and ended up watching nephews instead (I have to learn to say no!!!). But it was fun to watch them anyway :D

I have to say that I have some co-worker saboteur's at new (old) job  It blows mind the amount of junk food that flows through cube. And closest friend/co-worker eats sweets all day long (Smarties, Sprees, Starburst - she must have a thing with S  ). She is constantly offering them to me and when I leave to go to a meeting there will be a pile of them sitting on desk when I get back. And I don't have much for willpower when it comes to sweets - if it is there I eat it! I kind of mentioned to her that I don't want her to do it anymore, and she just said "It makes me feel better, at least then I know I am not the only one."

So I know she isn't trying to be mean, it just really does make her feel better. Unfortunately I need to work on willpower!!! I know I need to confront her more seriously as well...

aaaggghh! this kind of stuff makes me insane! She is trying to drag you down into her world because she obviously doesn't like the fact that you are trying to eat healthy, and it soothes her own guilt trip if she can entice you to "join" her. Next time she does it, just politely but firmly return them to her desk and say "thanks, but no thanks". If she continues to do it - just throw them in the trash - HER trash can. She is being disrespectful of you if she doesn't listen to you (kinda like bullying in a way) so stand up to her.
Think of it like if someone was leaving unhealthy snacks for Stewie, and he was eating them - I don't think you would think twice about jumping all over that person and telling them to stop it because you love him and don;t want him to eat something that is bad for him....well, don't forget to give yourself that same love - YOU ARE WORTH IT!!! :D :D

I know, it really is rotten of her, but at the same time I can't put the blame on her. It is own responsibility to keep it from happening and so far willpower has not done so well  But I know I need to put foot down!

You can do it Jocelyn. I think your right she's not taking you seriously. I'm sure she will respect your decision if you show you are serious. :)

I talked to coworker last night and just explained to her how I really don't want to be tempted anymore and I would appreciate it if she would respect that choice and not offer me her candy anymore. She felt terrible, I don't think she really realized how much of a sore spot that was with me. It is going to be hard enough to watch her munch on it all day without having it shoved in face all the time! I think she will respect decision - although I am sure she will forget here and there. That's when I need willpower to kick into high gear

that is awesome Jocelyn. I know it was hard for you to do that - I'm really proud of the way you stood up for yourself - that's got to feel good! :D

Friday night I did 30 minutes on the elliptical. Saturday I didn't get a workout in (well, not a typical workout anyway). I spent 9 hours painting  Every inch of me hurts today - OUCH! Even hands - I can't even squeeze Stewie's squeaky toys  I actually was in so much pain last night that I couldn't sleep (plus the fumes didn't help, I had painted bedroom). I didn't even realize how much I hurt until I was all done and sat down.

So I think the 9 hours of painting stood in for workout

Yesterday morning I had annual eye exam and they dilated eyes - you should see the section I painted right after appointment - looks like it needs a lot of touching up    So just a suggestion, don't paint after you have had your eyes dilated

It really is tough work, and you don't quite realize how tough it is until you are done. Fortunately that was very last room to paint :D Unfortunately I don't like it  So I will probably live with it for a few weeks and then decide if I will do it over again!
