I'm sorry you aren't feeling supported, Bekah. That is painful. As a mom of two, I do understand why your mom doesn't want to take sides, but I certainly also understand why that hurts. :( Is there any sort of in-person support group you can join?

I'm guessing that taking time off from your workouts didn't really help with your mindset--exercising can be so helpful emotionally as well as physically. I hope your workout today made you feel better.

Good luck with your job hunt. You aren't happy with your new job?

I was reading on the FLIM again. and it got me excited again for the triathlon. and working out. the swim is definitely the hardest part. some people get sick doing it from swallowing salt water and the waves. you have to cover yourself in body glide so you don't get sores from the wet suit. and a lot of people bring an extra pair of goggles because sometimes you lose your first pair.

i'm not going to go watch it this year. i can't afford it right now with looking for a different job.

I am going to see the Wi ironman though. And next year 2 months before they have the race. they have a weekend get together held free from a local club that goes over parts of the course that i would rather go too then the race anyways! the race didn't sell out till just a few days ago for this year so i have till around august of next year hopefully to decide it's something i physically can do before signing up.

they do have a open water swim event here that each weekend swims across a lake all summer long. i don't know if i have the stamina yet for it but i will definitely be doing it next year. you can't normally swim across lakes here it's illegal and also unsafe. i actually have a local lake i can swim and do laps in too which is kind of like open water in the deep end but it's not too far from shore i will practice doing too.

I do wish i was wanting to do this as a thinner version of myself. so much easier and exciting but it's the way it is. :)

I haven't exercised the past two days. i've been stressed on looking for a job and i have been depressed and to be honest really lonely. I am going to stick with this job for a while to see how it goes. It gets me out of the house and talking to people which i think is good.

I am going to start tomorrow with diet and working out. i want to start joining groups for triathlons and a few other hobbies as well. I need to get out more. i hesitate a lot because of weight. I just feel really insecure but i am going to try anyways.

I got a job. :sunshine: I worked a little today in training. It actually has the potential for me to make the most I've ever made per hour. It was hard though because I've worked at home for so long. For me with mental health problem working is often one or two steps forward and the one or two steps back. I think they will work with me though if i need to take time off. Hopefully it works out I'm excited. :)

job is working out really well so far.. :sunshine: :sunshine: one reason why i didn't workout the last 2 weeks because i was worried about job situation. i feel so much better now about it. :D :D

i might put the Ironman off for one more year. i REALLY want to do one though. But i want to lose weight more. and to focus on both those things is kind of hard. I still am going to swim and bike but less about endurance in mind. I still want to go see and watch an ironman this year.

I've decided to continue with the Ironman Training. Not sure how i will train for a marathon in a little over a year with problems with feet and being overweight but i will worry about that later. :Hahabonk:

i am trying body pump this week. They offer it twice a week if i like it i will use that as weight training for now and see how it goes.

I'm starting a water triathlon class in September i was going to do it in July but it didn't work out with company here. I have a few other things i'm going to join as well. hopefully soon and not have to wait a month before the class starts.

i really struggle with loneliness. job is helping. But i really wish i had a good friend.. but i'm just trying to be more social.

I've decided to quit posting daily. No one responds much anyways, they never really did which is sad since i've been on here for so long. and i think it makes me lonelier when i say things and no one comments. but i will come back just not daily anymore.

i had a Italian concert pianist listen to me play today. It won't say how or why it's wasn't a big deal at all.

He right away told me to get a decent piano and a tuned one. i don't think piano sounds all that bad but without telling him it never has been tuned he knew.

he also said to get a teacher.

Hi Becky, :D
How was the Body Pump? A friend took me to one class for birthday and I could barely move for a week! I enjoyed the class but I don't have the time to commit to going to a gym right now. That is cool on the pianist listening to you. Ya their ears are finely tuned to sound, and they hear a lot we don't. Some of bagpipe friends who have been playing a long time are the same with the pipes.
I can't wait to hear how you are doing with your diet, exercise and life!

i didn't really try body pump yet. the pianist just listened online not in person. i wish i could afford lessons but for maybe the next year i might not get them. but i am trying to practice and learn songs on own.

I'm going to try intermittent fasting for the next 2 weeks. see how it goes.

Good luck learning the songs on your own Becky. You can record your playing, and play it back to yourself, to see if it sounds like you thought it did when playing. Great job on not gaining too much. Wish I could say the same. :( Good luck with the fasting.
