so this past week has been pretty hectic. last Tuesday nite I went into the ER for female reasons and a lot of loss of blood. from Wednesday to thrusday I was really weak. I didn't go to classes, didn't do cardio, didn't walk the stairs at work, didn't walk on work breaks. it was just aweful. Sunday I had gotten in cardio and since that went well I went into class yesterday. I struggled a Lil more than I would on a good day but I made it throuh the end. today I have a doctor's appointment to have a physical done and to find out what went wrong Tuesday. the ER only did blood work to see if I was prego and because I wasn't they said I wasn't an emergency. sorry, but if I have continuous heavy bleeding (so bad to go through everything and down legs in less than every 2hrs) from 3pm to 11pm when they saw me and enough for me to loose color in skin....I think they should of done more than a pregnancy test. that's morning rant. lol
I'm happy that I forced myself to just go home everyday afterwork and rest to allow myself to heal bc the old me even in that bad of shape would of worked out. yes there are times when u can work around injuries and there are others when u need to learn to relax and take a break. that was a much needed break.

Also, I'm going to live up what's left of this summer. Because new college life will soon take over the day I get back from Vcay in august. This is what schedule will look like.

Monday: 6pm-7pm team fit 8pm -10pm psychology Tuesday:6pm -7pm cardio Wednesday: 6pm-7pm team fit 8pm-10pm psychology Thursday 6pm-7pm cardio Friday 6pm-7pm team fit saturday 8am-2pm fundamentals of design then cardio Sunday:hibernation

Sounds awful!! Hope you get it taken care of and figure out what is going on. Nothing wrong with taking some days off if you aren't feeling well. :)

That's crappy that you were bleeding badly like that and ended up with a washed out palour and all they did was give you a pregnancy test.

I hope it's nothing serious and you overcome this. You don't need this when you've been doing so well to lose weight and push so hard for progress and you should be so, so proud of yourself and I am thinking of you as I write this, because I don't want anything to knock you out of that groove you've been in.

So I'm sending you a BIG HUG and I am letting you know I am 10,000% behind you as always and I am right here if you need to gripe about anything.

Keep your chin up, keep smiling, be strong and GOOD LUCK. You are a real sweetheart and a wonderful human being and it sucks when good people go through hard stuff, because it's not how life should be, but you can still take some positives from this, in respect of how you cope and how strong, positive and progressive you can be, in not letting this ruin that good mindset you've cultivated and the progress you have worked so hard for.

Try not to worry too much, because you don't know what it is yet, but I know you CAN overcome this, whatever it is and you CAN keep pushing on towards your goals and you CAN make what you want to happen, happen, because you are that sort of person now, who is stronger in mind and stronger in body too.

GOOD LUCK again and keep believing in your abiltiy to succeed and get through situations like this, because you CAN now and you ARE strong enough to cope :)

I am so, so proud of you for what you have done in the past few months and I KNOW, you'll go on to do more of the same because you ROCK :).

thank you so much boss man. I've been feeling defeated lately because body doesn't want to let go of this weight. I'm stuck between 224-226 for about three weeks now and its irritating. I know last week didn't help being laid up, nor has the parties on the weekend with all the foods I eat. so I pretty much have been on maintenance mode. mon-Friday I do what I'm supposed to then two days its rough. I know that won't last after august bc schedule will be pa ked but right now its a struggle. at least I am going to team fit classes as lo.g as I continue I know I will be ok. its just a current bump in the road I need to over come.

Just stay focused and don't get discouraged Christina. It will come off! Weekends i think are where most people struggle so your not alone and it's especially hard in the summer. You definitely can overcome it! :)

The thing is it's just a purple patch and some people go through them, especially with training. They try to bulk, stutter for 2-3 weeks, then it just happens again. The body finds a way to overcome a plataeu, without any alterations to food and training and they just get going again.

These moments on a journey to better physial wellbeing, are sent to try people, but the strongest overcome, or find out how and the rest get knocked back :).

You'll keep doing this and makeing it work, because so far you're not letting yourself down okay :).

Hey Christina,

did you take the calorie point test i think its' called with the oxygen mask to find your hr zones? Do you think it was worth it?

Are you going to do the 90 day weight loss challenge too? Just wondering what your thoughts are on these things. :D Thanks!

I didn't do the calorie point test only because for me its too much to keep track. I did talk to a lady that did it bc for its easier to do a track system like that bc she use to do weight watchers. I believe its personal preference. i just keep a food journal and write down the times of when and what I eat. I also did the cardio point test. I do feel that's worth it. it helps u see what heart rate ur body burns the most fat and u get set up with a good cardio program. if u stay with team weight loss I wouldn't worry Bout it u.till u move up to fit since weight loss is cardio based. if u find u don't like team I would for sure do the cardio point because its a good price for a 12week program that u can do on ur own terms.

i had a really tough workout today. i used 10pound dumbbells and that was the first time doing so. a lot of shoulder presses, lunges, squats ect. one thing i noticed about class, is when its small we get to go at our own pace which is really nice. you can see the people who cheat themselves though and use that to slack. they worry too much about competing in who gets what done fastest so they don't do as many reps. i personally take time and complete it all the way through. I'm not there to just get a semi work out and not be pushed, I'm there to challenge myself and feel good at the end knowing i gave it all. some times you just need to find the motivation in yourself to do it. it is hard, but so worth it!

i wonder if it would still be worth it depending on what kind of discount they offered with the class? maybe not. you would have to save more than 25 bucks which is the cost of the competition they haven't told us what the discounts are as of yet.

You still could do it though even if you can't do the events on tuesday. I think the prize last time was 250 mlt bucks if you were the woman winner of your club. the grand prize national winner for both men and women last time won something like 5,000 cash national prize. i could be wrong on that but i think that's right. Might be a nice motivator?? Totally up to you though.

so what are you doing with team fitness Christina with the strength training? are you learning much about strength training then and using dumbells or more weight machines? I might try a team fitness class during the competittion if i decide to do the competiion just to see what it's about. :)
