Re: Trying to eat unprocessed in a processed world
Thank you!!! It's been a long time and alot of change involved internally, changing mindset and just making better choices, daily.
Had a great 6 mile run yesterday. Ran the exact same route as last Sunday, and ran it 41 seconds per mile faster!
I've lost 2" in bust / 2.25" in waist / 3" in hips
Just gotta keep pushing, keep working hard, never lose sight of the goal.
12 more lbs. to original goal weight!!

Re: Trying to eat unprocessed in a processed world
Busy week! Started a new position at job that keeps me on feet and moving all day instead of a desk job. Still adjusting to that been feeling really tired when I get home. No Crossfit this week but I have gotten up early and ran the last two days.
Now for the good news..... Weigh in: 156!!

I thought it said in your profile you were 51. Now I realise you are just a 42 year old who was teasing us

You're looking great Lynne!!!! I have noticed some signs about 1/2 mile from house that says CrossFit is coming soon. So I looked it up and it is waaayyyy out of budget right now, but maybe sometime down the road I could join!

Thanks Becky!!
Aw thanks Bossman - that made day!!
Thanks Joc! I still have a lot of work to do but happy I found Crossfit to add to running to help me finally make a breakthru.
Crossfit gym had different plans to choose from. I picked one that I got 12 sessions for $100. So I can spread those out over a couple of months - and Saturdays are a free class so it ended up being cheaper than gym membership.

Re: Trying to eat unprocessed in a processed world
Well that week really flew by fast
I had an off week as far as running and working out went. Haven't been feeling well - having some dizziness and feverish feelings (without a fever) feeling really tired at times. I have a doc appt next week, maybe can figure out what is going on. Had an ocular migraine this week too, with aura lights over vision and a bad headache following.
But I was feeling better yesterday - went to Crossfit. Had an awesome workout.
warmup run 400 meters / 10 chest to floor, raise hands, lift back up pushups / 15 squats / burpees
workout:
18 minute AMRAP of 5 full burpees w/jump clap / 10 Hand raise chest to floor pushups / 15 below parallel squats
In the middle of the AMRAP they would stop us and make us go run 200 meters, or do 20 situps, etc.
I still managed to do 7 full rounds.
Oh, and the last workout - after the AMRAP, was Jumping rope 400 times
I was like "really?" but I managed to do it in 8 min. 45 sec.
This morning I went for a 4 mile run, saw a beautiful sunrise, enjoyed some cooler temps, 59 degrees. That practically a blizzard around these parts.
Had a young lady (mid 30's) at Crossfit come up to me and tell me that I was an inspiration to her. She said she watches me and says to herself "if I can just keep working hard, one day I'll be as good as Lynne". I was like WOW, talk about being humbled, that really touched me, and makes all of this, everything I do, every meal I eat, every workout I complete worth it, if it can motivate someone to keep striving to better themselves.

Rolemodels can be any age and to anyone of any age, they don't have to be a certain age range or be the same age range as others to be relevant to people of that age range.
