Yes - I'll let you know what the doctor says tomorrow - not sure if he'll order a cat scan or MRI or what?

Hey Lynne ! I gained 2 lbs this week too! Guess we better not be copying each others diets anymore :( JK! They'll be gone tomorrow - I'm not worried - it's a new day tomorrow and I'll have to tweak a few more things. Maybe eat more!

Today's Food

Protein Shake made with FF Milk - Love that strawberry Protein!

Did half workout (I bought yogurt fit for a diabetic - 85% less sugar)

1 whole egg, 3 egg whites made with mushrooms, and salsa - nothing else.

Did the rest of workout about 1/2 hour later.

Had a Protein Shake and Protein Bar - I made the recipe Brentyboy had in his thread - OMG!!! I had to put the rest in the freezer too as they were too good! Hard to believe they are good for you! I missed a "real" lunch :(

Almonds and yogurt

Swordfish, white aparagus, brussel sprouts sauteed in shallots, and a mustard sauce (1 tsp of molasses *was suppose to be brown sugar, didn't have any* and 2 tbps water) Aparagus was AWFUL, brussel sprouts were yummy!

Not much food today - that protein bar really filled me up! I honestly wasn't hungry for dinner.

Lots of water - and of course lots of trips to the little girls room! :)

No time to workout today - Off to get a deep tissue massage, then meeting a former co-worker for lunch - then off to the doctor to finally get rotator cuff looked at.

Have a great day!

Met with Ortho guy who specializes in Shoulders/Rotator Cuffs - took x-rays - didn't look too bad to me? Slight separation ( these are words) he performed a multitude of tests - bottom line is he referred me to a Physical Therapist to build strength - waiting on any chots - see how things go, gave me an anti inflamatory med - could be a tear, but we'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully MRI and the surgery route will not be neccessary. NO bench pressing of any kind right now - I think he said no weights using that arm, but there was lots of information so I'll have to follow up with him or the PT to be sure.

Food Today

1/2 Homemade Protein Bar for breakfast - yum! On the road the rest of the day so packed a little cooler.

Had yogurt and almonds just before massage

Met friend for lunch - had a salad with tomato, cukes, geen pepper, onion, Grilled Chicken and feta cheese with a homemade light balsamic dressing. The dressing was soooo good - took some home! I did not pour it on salad but dipped into it, used MUCH less!! Will do that from now on with salads.

on the way home from the doctors I had some almonds, and scoop of protein powder in 8 oz of water. Did not eat the LW I had packed.

Dinner - ate 1 whole HB egg and 4 HB egg whites - used teas of light mayo.

Drank lots of water - I'm stuffed but know I should probably eat more. :?

yeah, I agree. Looks like a salad was your only "meal" for the day.

Yes, good for ignoring the hideous spam problem on their network .

As for the issue you're getting, it might possibly be a subluxation, (partial dislocation), if it's a minor issue around the Rotator Cuff area, as that would count as some kind of seperation.

Can't say how exactly it would manifest itself, or what you could expect it to feel like, relating to pain sensation or stiffness, when moved in certain ways, but the other possibility is, you might have caused either the Teres Minor Tendon, Infraspinatus Tendon, Supraspinatus Tendon, or Subscapularis Tendon to be slightly torn or possibly inflamed, assuming it's not a Ligament problem.

Doesn't sound like a pulling or tearing of any of those muscles from what you said.

At least any possible Surgery option is being postponed, as realistically it should never be a primary option, except in medical cases where theres no non-invasive option.

Age? Nah - who knows, I did hurt myself 30-35 years ago playing in a 5 hour round robin tennis tournament - couldn't move subject arm :( PT and everything but I really can't remember much else. I assumed that was how this originated - doc says, what did you do the last 30-35 years? :):) I said, didn't really use it - only when I coached sons little league team (4 yrs)did I have problems - could only make a few piches before it hurt, so I would have someone else pitch. Until now - since I've been working out and using weights it's not really hurt much but weakness for sure - no strength :( Guess I've learned to work around it for years!

Yep - that's what he said  One or more of those words came out of his mouth, something like that anyway....are you a doctor Boss?

Surgery is the farthest thing from his mind - and mine of course! I really liked this guy - that's important!

Lynne - you are right I should eat more - does sherbet count? 5 Eggs doesn't count as a meal? Sure felt like one! Ha!
