4 sets of push ups reps of 12 then last set 15.

Will do some pull ups soon, tried doing dead lifts the other day with 31.6kg weight and did 4 til back started to ache so i stopped. Will look up step ups.
If the deadlifts are making your back ache i would go to u-tube or another site, plug in deadlifts, and watch how they do them just to make sure you're doing them with proper form. You definitely don't want to screw your back up and if youre doing the deadlifts incorrectly you could easily injure yourself.

Maybe the weight is too much for back? Il try it with less weight next time.

Day 113

Breakfast - Porridge Oats.

Break, bought a steak pastie around 440 calories, 27g fat though i think, something like 15g protein.

Lunch - bought a YoP Yogurt drink strawberry flavour (750g) 78 calories per 100g, 2.8g protein 13.4g carb sugar 1.3g fat.

Dinner - Pork mince meat. Onions, Peppers, some brocolli, and few pieces of fresh bread. Legs are aching alot from college, hopefully manage to do cardio later.

Holy cow that steak pastry thing has a lot of fat!

You should be fine with heavy weights as long as youre doing proper form (assuming you don't have any back issues?)... however if they are hurting your back then yes you may want to drop back on the weight a bit. First, definitely check your form and make sure you're doing them properly. From there, if you have been doing them improperly maybe drop back on the weight until you get the hang of proper form, then increase the weight back up. If you check your form and find that you are in fact doing them 100% correctly then yes drop back on the weight and use that weight until it gets easier, then increase.

Good job.

Thanks Cassie, still haven't done todays cardio, will hopefully do it soon but i just feel so exhausted i could fall asleep. However even though legs are aching i don't want to miss it out because i already took a couple days off.

Did cardio. 1min 46 sec, great.. i did fast 1min then started to cycle slow but right leg started aching even more almost as if i was about to pull a muscle, i stopped because it was hurting me and i didn't want to make things worse. I don't get it, i should be able to do it, people work all day every day and still go to the gym with energy and all grrrrr can't do nothing right.... suicidal thoughts.

Day 114

Leg is still aching a bit from yesterday, breakfast - 3 boiled eggs, 2 pieces of toast with peanut butte.

Lunch - 2 slices toast with peanut butter 3 ham slices roughly 6g protein, glass of semi skimmed milk.

How do i know what's good for me in milk drinks for example in the fridge there was strawberry flavoured milk and 250ml was 230 calories 30% sugar but 10.8g protein like 8.8g fat.

Wrists and right leg are really hurting and aching me but i don't want to put off weights, hopefully be better later, what excercises should i be doing, i want the 6 pack to show and bigger pecs, thanks.

Dinner is being cooked- jacket potato and toad in the hole with sausages. Now, im not sure on if toad in the hole is good for you or not, but jacket potato is ok right. Im not sure what else i could do if i don't have it, theres a can of meatballs in the cuboard something like 460 calories 16 or 17g protein but higher in fat like 20g.

Hi Martin,

First of all I need to address your comment on "suicidal thoughts". Are you really having those or just frustrated?

Second, Martin most people CAN'T and DON'T workout all day everyday and still go to the gym with energy. There are times when I have to drag myself to the gym and it takes everything i have to get through workout. And, there are times when i get there and back hurts or leg hurts or shoulder hurts and i have to decide if the pain is something that i need to work through or if its something that i need to let heal. Also Martin, most people take time off to rest every few months. If you ask anybody who is serious about working out they will tell you that they take a few days or even a week off every few months to allow their bodies to rest and recover. It really sounds like this is what you need to do. In the end, pushing through workouts when youre tired and in pain is only going to set you back. Its going to frustrate you and you could injure yourself which would force you to have to take some serious time off. I know you already took a couple of days off but it sounds like a few more might do you some good. Either that or just take some time away from your normal routine and go for a hike or a walk or a bike ride.. something new and different.

That strawberry flavoured milk drink isn't the best. The fact that its 30% sugar should tell you that its not the best choice. If you're going to have it drink it after an intense workout.

What kinds of things go into a jacket potatoe? If it had lots of cheese and sour cream in it then maybe you could ask your mom to hold the cheese and sour cream on yours? Or put less on yours? What does toad in the hole have in it? Sorry I don't eat these kinds of foods so am not familiar with them. The meatballs... 20 grams of fat is NOT good. You really want something with fewer fat then that... like less than 10 grams. The fat in meatballs is saturated fat and can lead to health issues later in life.

You're doing great Martin. As always, shoot me a personal message if theres anything you need to talk about that you don't want to talk about on the forum. I'm here for you in any way I can be so please let me know if theres something I can to do help.

*hugs*

They were true, lately and most of life ive been down on myself, just generally not happy with way of life, things are, myself and it's getting a bit too much. Toad in the hole im not too sure what it has in it but here's some info. Ingredients

2 free-range eggs
125g/4½oz plain flour
150ml/5fl oz milk mixed with 150ml cold water
1 level tbsp grain mustard
salt and freshly ground black pepper
6 fat, herby pork sausages
100g/3½oz thinly sliced prosciutto, pancetta, Serrano ham or thin streaky bacon
3 tbsp dripping or lard

I might just have dinner now as im hungry, the jacket potato is usually plain or has something on it like butter.

Back when I was a bit younger, I used to have suicidal thoughts… That was towards the end of college life. I was going through some depression stage. Things just didn’t get easier it actually got worse. With all kinds of things going on and the responsibilities I had to take on did not helped with appearance of being “FAT” or being called FAT all day long and even worse being called pimple face (worse combo ever fat & pimple face - Ha!). But nevertheless I tried best to think of positive things and continue doing what I do. It took a lot of time, energy and effort for me to actually see the lights again. Having close friends to support me was a blessing! saved life actually. The main thing is your inner self that needs to be strong and keep being positive! Take a break if you need to, take a walk, or read a fun book and sleep in! Yes, its hard but we can always try our best to make things how we want it and life gets easier as we make good friends and have people to support you. Like Cassie, she have been here helping you and supporting you to reach your goals. And everybody else who reads your post wants you to reach your goals. Stay positive and take control of your body, mind & life. If you ever want to vent we are here! BEST WISHES!! :D

Gosh Martin, this breaks heart. Have you tried talking to somebody about whats going on in your life? I'm sure if you went to your parents or somebody they could help greatly in helping you work things out. Life is hard sometimes, but its not supposed to be torture. Sometimes we focus so much on the negative things in our life that its hard to see the postive things... kind of like sometimes we look so much at what we believe are our flaws that we fail to see our good qualities. I really think talking to your parents or somebody else about whats going on will help for you to look at things in a different light. You really shouldn't be down on yourself Martin. You are a great young man and you have so much going for you! So Martin, is there anything we can do to help you? I really really think you should talk to your parents about what is going on Martin. I'm sure they can help you get through this.

For the workout... did you say your wrist is hurting you? If it is benching might not be the best. You could give it a shot and see if it hurts. If it doesn't hurt you could do bench, pullups, pushups, rows, dips, and military press. You mentioned your legs have been hurting so could skip lower body today and hit upper and see how that goes.

Ive spoke to mum Cassie, but again she tries to cheer me up but there isn't much she can do, even though yourself is trying to help me i can't accept who i am, and have been like this whole life, just boiling up now.

Ok, did work out, did 6 sets of 10 push ups, 10 sets of bench press weight 31.6kg reps of 10, sometimes up to 15 but for example on last 2 sets just managed about 9. Came in, did 1 set of pull ups (3 reps) chin ups (bout 5) and then 2 sets of pull ups just 2.

Although ive worked out for a while today i don't feel ive done enough, mainly because what im seeing as results, even though im kinda tired now.

Good job on the workout. I'm proud of you for doing those pullups! I know they suck... i'm totally not a fan of pull ups, but they really are a good exercise. As far as not feeling like you've done enough... seems like you got a decent workout in. If you feel like you have energy to do more then you could do some cardio or maybe take a nice walk.

Ok back to the other thing (sorry Martin but I just can't let this go) have you talked to a professional about how you feel? I know sometimes talking to a professional (perhaps a physcologist) can help immensly in helping to work out negative thoughts. I have at times considered going to one when I just didn't feel like I could sort things out on own and I have a very close friend who goes regularly and she said it helps immensly in helping her to see that things really aren't as bad as she often thinks they are. She has actually been diagnosed with clinical depression, which makes her down, sad, tired, hopeless. Her depression makes her feel like nobody likes her or that shes just not good enough and makes her always focus on her flaws instead of her good qualities. friend is a wonderful person both inside and out and seeing somebody to talk about her issues has really helped her to recognizer her good qualities. I hate to see you struggle Martin and I wish there was some way that I could help you to see what a great guy you are. If talking to your mom hasn't helped i'm sure there are others out there who could help you to work things out so you can see how great life truly is.

I haven't spoke to anyone, but i hope this doesn't effect me much i mean, ive heard depresseion can do things like make you lose your hair i don't want that, ive tried talking to mum she puts me up and helps as best as she can but it doesn't always work, i don't understand myself, but yeah thanks for caring i do appreciate it even if i don't show it
