Depends. Are you doing the upper body/lower body split or still doing fb?

FB: deadlifts, squats, pullups, bench press, miliary press, rows, pushups

Upper body: pullups, bench press, miliatry press, rows, pushups, dips, curls

lower body: squats, deadlifts, lunges, step ups, good mornings, calves

What's FB? Tried some of what you suggested, here's what happened. Done few sets of pull ups about 4 even though i could only do 2-3 each time. It's the wide griped ones i have trouble with when hands aren't too far apart it isn't as difficult.

Push ups done about 3-4 sets reps of 10.

Ok put on max weight (31.6kg) and tried deadlifts, did 4 until back started to ache so stopped, tried military press again done 4 and found it hard to lift it up (starting position) so stopped, done bench press about 3 sets and just couldn't get comfortable, was sliding about a bit, back sticking to bench not alot of space to do it and just couldn't get comfortable. 2 sets of 20 squats without weight tho.

I still have enough fat on body to make me feel uncomfortable, i was doing weights but there isn't much room so it's awkard i would do it in garden but it's turning to winter now. I'm not sure wether being depressed is having an effect on this but i just couldn't get in the mood for it even though i knew i have to do it.

I can't do nothing right.

Dinner - spaghetti on toast.

Martin, dear friend, I really think you're too hard on yourself. You're a great guy and do lots of things right so don't be so down!

You know, you've been exercising steadily for a while now. Maybe taking a week off to kind of rest and relax would be a good idea? You've been pushing yourself hard, and sometimes taking a little break helps to let you remember why you enjoy exercising. A couple of weekends ago for competition i took 3 days off (I NEVER take 3 days off). The Monday after taking that time off I couldn't wait to get back to the gym and when i got back workout was fantastic... better than it had been in a very long time. Perhaps youre burned out and would benefit from a break?

Just a thought.

*HUGS*

Please remember what a great person you are Martin.

I don't think taking a break would set you back from meeting your goals Martin. To be honest, it kind of seems like you've been going through the motions lately anyways. Maybe if you take a break you'll be able to rest up and kind of remember why you've been working out in the first place. When I take a few days off (as I did a few weeks ago) I missed workouts like you would not believe. By the 3rd day off i was tempted to go to the gym even though i was actually supposed to take one more day off. Taking a step away is a good way to make yourself remember why you're working out in the first place and sometimes you have to step away to remember how much you enjoy working out... kinda like you don't realize how much you like it until you stop doing it for a few days.

Diet looks awesome. You're doing great! Keep your chin up friend!!

No thanks sterlady, im not intrested in them products they're a waste of money.

Day 112

Ok, breakfast - porridge oats.

Break - bought a nurishment can (428 calories) 21g protein 60g carbs 10g fat. It's like a milkshake in a can. Bannana flavour.

Lunch didn't have much here, had chicken paste and tomato sandwiches but i didn't eat them was horrible, had a couple bites.

Got in, had 2 eggs, slice of bread and peanut butter.

What's wrong with routine and diet i know i haven't eaten as well today but will hopefully buy some more protein powder.

I mean ive seen some slight changes, but i still have some fat, on arms for example covering up potential muscle and on stomach preventing me from seeing a 6 pack. It's almost been 4 months now, i would of thought id seen some major results what am i doing wrong? Not enough protein? Thought id been eating alot more recently, too much fat/carbs? Sugar? Not enough physical excercise?

I don't see what's wrong it's been almost 4 months.

Martin,

I think you need to ask yourself if you have put in 100% effort every day for the past 4 months? The last time you asked this question i went back and found many many many times where you splurged on your diet. Now i'm not saying that you haven't been doing a great job, you truly have and i'm so proud of you. However if you look back you'll see that there were many times where you really could have done better on the diet. As I look back, your diet has really improved GREATLY just recently (I would say in the past month or so). Before, you really weren't getting enough protein and you were living on white bread and getting in quite a bit of other unhealthy carbs. Lately you've been doing AWESOME on your diet, protein intake is great, and you seem to be taking in fewer unhealthy carbs. You'll get there eventually. I know you get tired of hearing it, but it does take time. I've been dieting for 6 1/2 months now so i totally know how you feel. I also think you've made much more progress then you realize. I think if you continue to get in enough protein, and keep on pushing yourself with the workouts you will continue to see results and you will eventually meet your goals. Keep up the heavy weights and do add more pullups. I know its frustrating Martin.... however please keep your chin up. You're doing SO GREAT and I can't even begin to express how proud of you I am. I've watched you come so far over the past 4 months and I know i you keep it up you will be so happy with your results. I honestly think you focus a little too much on your flaws and I think you need to focus more on your positive features! At the same time, it seems like you focus on the improvement that you HAVEN'T seen and you're so focused on that that you don't seem to see the progress that you HAVE made. You are an awesome young man and as I've told you before you continue to inspire me. Keep up the great work friend! And more importantly keep your chin up and don't be so darn hard on yourself!

*hugs*

Thanks Cas, that helped alot, dinner was sausage in batter and chips  :x not a great day today, will do weights in a little while, perhaps just benching and some pull ups/push ups? Or is that not enough.

Hopefully get back on track soon and order some more protein powder.

I'm glad I could help. ;)

For the weights, maybe do some step ups, squats, and deadlifts in there too to work your lower body. Don't want to neglect the lower body. Did you decide not to take a break after all?

You really are doing awesome Martin!

I took a couple of days off. I did 10 sets of 10 reps of bench press 31.6kg weight last set was about 13 reps.

4 sets of push ups reps of 12 then last set 15.

Will do some pull ups soon, tried doing dead lifts the other day with 31.6kg weight and did 4 til back started to ache so i stopped. Will look up step ups.
