I just googled quesadilla and man those things are weird looking. It's like someone said what happens when you get a cross between a pizza and a sandwich?

the kind i like taste pretty good. it is kind of like cheese pizza a little bit. But if you get a healthy low carb high fiber tortilla and put 2% cheese on it it tastes pretty good and healthy too. :) especially if you add chicken it can be a pretty high protein meal.

the past couple weeks i've been cheating a little bit. I haven't been drinking caffeine but i've been drinking a caffeeine free soda strawberry crush too. Well it's all gone now. So tomorrow it will be strictly smoothie, 1 can or coke or pepsi and lots and lots of water!

That sounds like a great plan. I'm just thinking about the sugar in 1 can of coke per day, and the sugar that can be in smoothies, and it really does add up, which could be responsible for your cravings.

Check out this website, it shows how soda, smoothies, and a lot of other foods look when you break down how much sugar is in them: http://www.sugarstacks.com/

I am by no means a Nutrition Saint - we both know that! - but I do know stuff, and I promise you, it's much more likely the sugar that you're craving. I know it's what you like, but there is an element to sugar-intake that is chemical, not personal preference. Smokers "like" cigarettes, but they also chemically rely on them to maintain their "normal" throughout the day. Many North Americans don't just "like" Coke, they need sugar to maintain their "normal". Sugar is in everything, in really high doses, which induces an insulin response, making us crash, then crave more to get back to normal again, storing a lot of body fat on the way.

...I know I brought this up on the first page, and I'm sorry for harping about it! I just don't want to see you work so hard to switch to caffeine-free and smoothies, and not feel better. The focus on staying to 1 can per day, and trying to get more water in is a really nice compromise, I think, and I 100% support it - especially if you can turn that can into a sugar-free one at some point.

no your right i need to cut down on sugar. Today it's just one coke and tormorrow i'm going to half a can. no crush left. so besides that and the smoothie it will be just water.

The smoothie is just mixed fruit with milk and spinach and put some stevia in it. It's the easiest way for me to get alot of fruits and vegetables a day in. so i don't know about that one. once i cut out the soda though it will be all i have left for drinks.

Your smoothie sounds awesome - how do you like Stevia? I bought some individual packets and have only tried it in black tea.

Thanks for taking rant about sugar with such grace  Getting down to 1 can is a great accomplishment, and it's amazing to think you're on your way to 0 cans!

i have one can left in 12 pack. Going to drink 1/2 can tomorrow and will throw the rest of the can out. i'm tempted to just go without after that. and be totally caffeine free. But i really can't have a headache while i work. Pure misery so i may not do that. :?
