Lake run was Bonnie (sigh) wish it was me!
I guess I was confused because I thought each week we were to see progression and then start over - this way you go back and forth within the week - maybe that works for you because you are a runner and way ahead of the game :) Me? I need a lot more work! :)

oops!! sorry Lu!! I guess I wasn't quite awake when I read that this earlier this a.m.!! There is still progression of each of the different workouts, it was just having more than one option on the HIIT workouts. And yes, being a runner might help me to be able to mix up the workouts. But don't let all this get you confused, you are doing great and just stick with what you are doing, what works for some, may not work for others, but in the end, we just all are trying to get to the same place so it's all good, ya know? :D Have a great day!!

Yes I saw posted, a week or so ago in your thread the alternating style of intervals, so just so lu is clear an example is

Week 1

tues
4 intervals
30/90 secs

thursday
4 intervals
1 min / 2 min

sat
4 intervals
30/90secs

Week 2

Tuesday
5 intervals
30/90 secs.. etc

Thursday
5 intervals
1min/2min..etc

Sat
5 intervals
30/80 secs

Week 3
6 intervals alternating

Week 4

3 intervals alternating on LEVEL 2 ..and the whole process starts over..

Yeah the lake & park r outside gym door & it is much preferred than trotting along on a treadmill, staring at the wall, though I can only run abt 10 mins, without annoying whatever is in abdomen :( Hopefully I will get to run again in the future :D You have great day too !

Todays workout:

20 jumping jacks
20 Burpees

1x10x2 Elevated Pushups
2x10 Prisoner Squats

3x8x 56lbs Cable Weight Deadlifts
3x8x 68.5lbs Cable Weight Seated Rows

6 pullups(I know I should have done these at the beginning, but I forgot! :? )

3x10x 68.5lbs Lat. Pulldowns

1x12 Wide Incline Pushups
1x12 Diamond Pushups

The Deads already felt easier! But I won't go up on weight until next week.

Have a great evening (or morning depending on where you are :P )

Hey Lu, I bought a 1 gallon plastic jug of water at Walmart and weighed it. It weighs 9lbs!! And it costs less than $1! :D So there you go...weight lifting on a budget!! :P

That's great! If you put a stick through the handles maybe you can do some BB rows? I would think holding them with your hands might be a bit clumsy. I actually use a variety of things when I'm no where near any weights...once I used 1.75 liters of Tangueray! <--not a good idea

Love the visual I get when I read that!!! Yeah - I'm going to go chisel some muscles and blast some fat off today!!!

Actually I will be testing out 2 treadmills - will be doing Cardio at the gym equipment store today! Why not? It's the only way to really make sure I'm getting the right one....it's now between the Landice L7 Cardio and the Vision Fitness T9600 Premier - the Landice was #1 in Consumer Reports, but the Vision is a lot of treadmill for the money! So - we'll see......both have the orthopedic cushioned belt. There's about a $1,000 difference between the two - anyone have any experience or thoughts?

So, Lynne - I'll be doing workout at the store - funny how we talked about this recently as an option!

Have a great day!

The last one has a fancy name. Potentially a marketing ploy. Remember more cost doesn't always mean better quality and even If the quality of use is better, you might find it still fails for long-term wear and tear, which a simple trial on it won't reveal.

If one has good consumer reports, go with that, it's cheaper as well, so there's no reason to doubt it. As long as the reports come from indepndant consumer review bodies, that's all that matters.

The first one was #1 in Consumer Reports but more expensive. I decided on the less expensive one for several reasons, money only one of them. Longer deck(reversable as well), orthopedic belt, easier to understand and use - it is the best of the lower priced manufacturer, the lower model of this version came in #4 in the Oct 2009 Consumer Reports Mag....I'm feeling I made the right decision and spent about $1500 less! Not bad for a days work! :)

Sorry Lynne - thanks for sharing your thread! :)

mistake. I must have slightly misread your post. I thought the best one was the cheaper.

Great to read you're feeling so positive about your results Lynne. You DO work hard for them, and deserve to feel good. Those are feelings well earned misses :).
