Sue i have the music sheets for nights in white satin on the piano. It's easy piano though so it's not hard to learn but doesn't sound as good. i will have to see if the lyrics make sense. I also play stairway to heaven on the piano which i love the song. The lyrics don't really make a lot of sense and i have decided they were all high when writing them. :funny:

Do you have 70's at night Sue?

i read your email. Sorry about the computer. Did you get it fixed? Hope it doesn't cost a lot.

Hope you hear about the lessons Chris. I really want to take lessons again. I hadn't played for a few days and it felt so good when i sat down and played. Having lessons keeps me on track with a schedule of playing daily.. even if it's only twice a month. nice you get such a good deal during the year with your bag pipe lessons.

Bekah, I see you have the music for Nights in White Satin. I love love Stairway to Heaven also....and I know the lyrics. Was the song the band was playing at the OBI when friends and I went on birthday as I could finally get in "legally" LOL Mind you we had an ice storm and the power went out while they were playing. Luckily came back on again in about 20 minutes.

Thanks for the memory...

If we are lucky we hit 70s at 5 a.m. in the morning but by 9 it's back up into the high 80s or 90s....we are breaking records here right and left this year. Hey fine, maybe once July gets here we will get "lower temps" as that is usually when we get these late July and August.

Nope can't be fixed at all...have to get a new one which research is still going on but looks good for "going local" gonna cost enough but nothing we can do.

Hope you can take lessons again.

Well off to call now on all the dentists I checked on.

A good day to all....

No Bekah not groupies but we went to OBI every Sunday night and all of us loved to dance and Good Rats was a great band. They weren't always there but we had others of just listen to music played, had our beers and home by midnight1

Wishing everyone a great Friday

I haven't heard that for years either, Sue, and was happy to see this one on the same page, so had to listen to it, too: :D

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3Nq48sHF8M

son sent me a text on Sat. morning saying, "Daydream Believer is on the radio, made me think about you." :D (Mike Nesmith wrote Different Drum.)

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Our horrible sticky, hot weather has departed, at least temporarily, and today was a perfect summer day. We took the pupster to the park this morning, and he was lying in the river like he's always been a water dog--so funny, because when we first started taking him there, he wouldn't even put a paw in the water. :tonguepoke:

Oh Molasses, I love this song and as Chuck would lament at me "I know you have this 45 LOL" and yes I do have it.

Yes I loved The Monkees too.... fav was Mickey ( I know most gals loved Davy but not me) LOL And yes I have that 45 also LOL

Yeah we are only 104 today and so much nicer but the a/c is still one LOL

Going down to 90s later this week...PTL can open the windows again...

Oh I see the pupster loves the water now....all of ours did, well our Labs, I should say, though Mr. Bo Jangles (the dog that came with Chuck) loved the water....he was a collie shep mix.

Well I just finished all stories and sent the ones off that I wanted to share. So off to play some games till his nibs decides to get up lOL

Davy might have been many people's first choice as he was Mancunian and not American like the others.

Also he had had acting experience before, in a program called Coronation Street, which is actually set in Manchester. He was in it circa 1961, roughly 12 months after it started at the age of about 13 and stayed in it for roughly 2 years.

I'm familiar with coronation street. They use to play it in canada and a relative's house was in detroit where windsor canada is across the river so you got some canadian stations.

i got a different job. i've been job hunting mostly this last week. I start it not next week but the week after. I'm not sure how it will go but i'm excited to try it out.

I haven't worked out a lot. next week though i have swim triathlon class twice a week and i am doing a bike ride either a 25 mile bike ride or 50 i haven't decided. it's going to be warm so i'm not sure. :)

Have a nice 4th Mo and Sue! :sunshine:

Hi Bekah,

Glad you got a new job and that was pretty fast, glad for you. Hope it turns out well. Happens sometimes with workouts and wishing you luck on the swimming and bike ride.

You, too, Bekah, have a nice 4th of July!

Hi ladies,

Can't believe another month has gone by already.....did pretty good this month only 4 missed workouts and was 3 until last night when I skipped it since I was exhausted from "no sleep" the night before....yet again this week.

Otherwise did well and looking forward to workouts for July........June Report

June didn’t go too bad workout wise as mixed 4 workouts, one do to pain, two due to no sleep and one due to shopping which was replaced with a lot of walking shopping. So not too bad, considering.

Start date for July will be the 3rd which is a Monday and start of the week. I have two arm workouts from Fitness magazine I will be doing. One the first 2 weeks and the other the last 2 weeks of the month. For the first two weeks on MWF 10 Dumbbell Exercises You Need For Stronger Arms:

http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/workout/ ... 1-20170527

The last two weeks I will do The Upper Body Workout You Can Do Even If You Have Wrist Pain

http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/workout/ ... 9-20170529

MWF evening I will concentrate on Lower Half with Blast Your Lower Half from WHM

Tuesday and Thursday I will continue walking/dancing workout. The jog in place is bothering knees so I will no longer be doing it.

Food goals: Food goals have not changed but remain the same...continue to take vitamin D, and keep up the increase in the fruits and veggies in diet, and try some different type of veggies, which we have been doing well with. Also continue to try out some different recipes, which had we are bound and determined this year to do better with. I will also continue with the getting in chocolate several times a week. PB is no longer an eating option for me. As for desserts we have made a switch and am keeping portion controls as I need to. Our soups mixed with egg noodles are working out great giving up lots of veggies and the sauce is already included; in addition to getting 2 dinners out of a can. Plus tummy likes it too LOL We will continue to have them over other types of noodles, like little farfalle and ditalini pasta too.

We have made up a number of the following ideas for dinners and just adding to our menu. In addition we have a number of ideas for different bases to go over pasta, making casseroles, etc. Plus making calzones, and pastry filled with vegetables and other filling to add to our diet for even more variety. We did a test one and it worked out great.

Trying to continue a variety of foods in our diet. Doing very well getting fish into diet having it on most Friday's and have also been getting it in during the week also. In addition adding diced peppers, potatoes, corn, spinach and other veggies to go with the fish has worked out well too. Still have had to be careful on portions as stomach still rebels on occasion, hence no weight gain in 2017 and slowly increase portion sizes to maybe put some weight on. Some weeks it goes up but then comes right back down again. Wish me luck.
