Morning Sisters, Just stopping in to say Hi, Been under the weather for the last couple of weeks but seem to be feeling better today .

Not much was going on here. Weather is crazy . We had a high of 65 Saturday . This is crazy January weather . I'm sure we will pay for it soon.

Spent last Monday with DD and Gdaughter . Chloe got her ears pierce . I couldn't believe how much it cost. Terrible . Supposedly you only paid for the earrings . But that was almost a hundred dollar bill. Oh well, can't take it with you.

Haircut today . That's about it Still doing some decorating and unpacking since we have had good weather .

Afternoon ladies,

YAH I see you weather is like ours, some days nice and some not....only difference you are colder and more snow accumulation than all our rain. Our mountains though are getting a LOT of snow. Oh hate the icy walking. Sorry on the volunteering. Again so sorry to hear about your cousin's husband. Sorry your son dint' come up. Hope he gets up next weekend for the race. I see you other sons and out and about too. Yes slept the weekend but not Sunday night...such is life. Even Chuck didn't sleep well Sunday.

Chris, glad you had a nice weekend. Glad you got the lessons in and mmmm love Thai food. Hey your body needed the rest so glad you got it. I see you did get a nice walk in with your hubby. Take care and wishing you all well.

Bama, sorry about being under the weather and glad you are feeling better. Yeah our weather has been nutso too. Holy cow on the ear piercing...and the earrings. I am not sure what gold is up to now...well I just looked and for today it was "Gold Price Per Ounce $1,220.30" so if the jeweler did as he should have and used 14k gold posts to put in Chloe's ears that's why the $100 price. And if the jeweler didn't I am saying he should have told Chloe to turn them several times a day and to clean with alcohol also several times a day for the next month. It's a must so she doesn't get an infected ear.

I see you got snipped today too, Bama.

Well I am off to do meds, breathing, a lay down for a bit.

Have a nice evening,

Sue

Good Morning sisters,

Well winter is coming back . we have truly been blessed this January with the weather . Only Snowed twice so far. Knock on Wood Please. LOL>

again just another hum drum day . Just doing some decorating in the Living room or I use say unpacking some stuff for on the walls . Didn't bring a lot but I did some of favorite things.

Send in DNA kit this morning. Anxious to see when I get it back. Will take a couple of months as they are really busy. I may have mentioned that in one of Mothers family picture (the drunkards) similar to quakers or amish there are some strange looking people in them . They look like American Indians in White man clothes . Just curious and no one alive now to ask . I hope I am not surprised . They also look like they could be from India . We shall see what DNA turns up. Maryland inlaws did theirs . Quite interesting so we have Husbands

Sad news was received last week. Sister in Laws Daughter past away. They had just arrived in Florida for a couple of months and got the news and had to fly home immediately . She is a basket case . DD was only in her earlies 50's . She was not feeling well and had appointment with Doctor but didn't make it. Thinking a heart attack . So you never know . It can happen to anyone at any iime so be sure and hug the ones you love and spend time with them .

Yes , Sue I got hair cut very short for me but I like it.

Hi to the rest of you ladies, Gotta go time for breakfast .

Hi, Sisters,

I am so sorry for your SIL's loss, Bama. That is so sad. You are right that we need to cherish the people we love and not take them for granted. :( The DNA test sounds interesting. I think I know about genetic background, but who really knows? People can be so funny. grampa on mom's side had a Choctaw grandmother, but his mother swore there was no Indian blood in her husband or children. Glad you like your haircut, and are feeling better. I'll keep fingers crossed for your weather! We've been lucky, too. We got a ton of rain last night, but the water in the basement is not nearly as bad as it could be, so I'm thankful for that. I am working on getting rid of half the stuff down there, and getting the rest up on shelves. Wishing Chloe luck with her ears; I'm sure she's thrilled!

Yum, Thai food, Chris! I make Thai curry quite often--it's so easy and so delicious. Even DH likes it, and he can be fussy about vegan meals. Hope you are feeling good after your weekend nap!

I'm sorry about the ice and your down days, YAH. Sending hugs your way. I'm sorry about your cousin's husband also. I agree that 60s is way too young. Hope your boys have safe travels, and your weather eases up so you can get out and about.

Sue, I've been using the sample of rosacea cream for a few days now and haven't had any reactions other than a tiny bit of stinging the first day. I just rub in a teeny dab; I'll let you know if I see any improvement. ( symptoms are limited to redness and visible capillaries.) From what I read, the side effects are rare and don't involve anything more serious than stinging skin or reddened, sore eyes. (I keep it well away from eyes.) Yes, we would like to move as soon as possible, but several things make "ASAP" = "not all that soon!"

I resigned from the panel yesterday. It was causing me more stress than it was worth. Hopefully I learned this time that it's better to think about things before jumping in--I have a tendency to say Yes when I should say No.

Now it's back to the basement for me!

Wishing everyone a wonderful day~

Hey All,
Well we are getting that rain now Mo except some of it is freezing rain. Many are taking precautions, schools closed before it started and even the university that I work for closed at noon. Well I am doing best to use that extra time wisely. Since I couldn't be sure of the roads I walked to work and then home again (2x20 minutes) and I just finished first workout dvd this year. 30 minutes of cardio with hip hop abs. :D :D It has been way too long for regular workouts for me. As long as feet do not get worse then I will continue with them. If they get worse then I will switch what I am doing.
The Thai food was delish. Today I pulled some chicken stock from the freezer and made a soup chock full of veggies. Now I will have lunch for the rest of the week. I am dreading cleaning up and getting the house in order. I should pick a spot and begin like you with the basement Mo. Good luck with your cleaning up.
Decorating sounds like fun Bama! I love geneology and do know a fair bit about family history. Lots of English, Scottish and Irish as well as German. So sorry for your SIL and family. Glad to hear you are feeling better though.
Well I should do something else productive before the day ends. Hi Sue, YAH and Becky.

Well what a mess of weather we got!! :wowzer: Ice pellets over freezing rain and more weather today too. DH got out the snow blower (a must have in the great white north) and I did the detail with the ice scraper and the shovel. Whew! Luckily work is delayed until noon. I will be walking to work and back again.

Morning sisters,

(((Chris))) they were talking on our station last night about weather in your neck of the woods. Yes walking is better than driving in that weather. Let's hope you get a break for a bit.

Legs and back sore last night so just the dancing part of the workout, no jog in place or walking.

As for today.....Morning workout Yoga/Pilates routine with stretch bands (a warm up, side bends, arms and shoulders, rowing, abs and arms, hamstring stretch, hip stretches, abdominal activator, leg press, arm pulse; and Richard Simmons warm up moves for evening workout

Back later to catch up on the posts....

Have a nice day all,

Sue

Chris mom is really into genealogy too. She really should have been a historian or something because she loves history and stuff like that. She actually is doing a dna sample to find out her history. I have some native american in me too which i am quite proud of although its a small part. :)

Just dropping in to say hi. :)

trying to do the TM daily just walking intervals I just started this week though.. :)

Afternoon all,

Nice day today sun is out but a little nippy . I have upped walking . Yesterday I only did weights but Monday I did 5 miles and today I did 5 miles . I am a little tired today. I don't usually do that much.
I wear a fit bit which I love and I already have 14000 steps in . Not a lot compared to some but a lot for me.

You do have some cold weather Chris . Do you have much of a summer . Altho MIL was Canadian born she had been in the states since her early 20's she never talked much about Canada other than some day she hope to go back. But she never made it.

Cousin did Father's side of the family a few years back and made us a book on it. Grandfather was from Germany and Grandmother was from England . I need to get the book out again and re read it . Always see something I missed the first time. Hubby's Father's family was from Sweden .
Very interesting for sure.

I did send DNA in but it will be a couple of months before I get it. Husbands family always thought they had some Indian blood in them but it didn't show up in their DNA . anxious to receive mine.

Nothing else going on . Just wanted to stop in and chat for a spell.

Take care .

Mo so sorry about your headaches . Sure wish they could find an answer for you. Do you think some of it could come from stress. i know when I was working and raising the kids I had a lot of bad ones but after I retired they eased some and then when I moved to Bama I never had any . Now that I am back i am having a few here and there but knock on wood not near as bad as they use to be. Hugs I know how it is to be in the bed with one.

Morning ladies,

It's a brrr 35 degrees here this a.m. Yeah I know warm for most of you.

I see winter is coming back to you Bama. Wow only snowed twice...I'd knock wood too. I see you did some decorating. Hope you get lots of info from the DNA kit. Very sorry to hear about your SIL's daughter. Yes very scary.

Glad you like your haircut Bama. Chuck snipped shorter too this time and I like it too much easier and faster to dry LOL

Molasses, grandma (dad's mom) had Indian blood in her...Cherokee and the rest as far as I know is dad had grandma's and Italian blood from his dad (Sicilian) and mom was born in Germany and her mom was part German/Polish and grandpa (pure German).

Glad the rain didn't mess up the basement too bad. Like you and Bama, lots of clearing out to be done here too.

Thanks for the info on the rosacea cream...I will talk to dermatologist when I go for visit. Hope your moving plans work out for you.

Sorry about the panel. However, stress is something none of us need.

Bummer on the freezing rain, Chris, not a fan either. At least they are taking precautions there. I am with you on the walking rather than driving. Kudos on the workout DVD too. Hoping your feet do not get worse.

mouth is drooling thinking about the Thai food. MMM love chicken soup too and also with lots of veggies. Pick one thing a day or week or every couple of days Chris and slowly but surely it will all get done.

Oh no Chris on the mess of weather and scary ice pellets...with freezing rain. HUGS...and hope the walk to work wasn't too bad.

Bekah I see your mom is into genealogy and you are getting some TM work in daily...kudos.

Bama, is see you got sun yesterday...we did too finally. Kudos on upping your walking. Plus some weights too.

I used to get some very bad headaches but mine were tied to mouth aches and still are occasionally. However, now they are more due to pressure differences and allergies....I am just happy when they go away for a long time.

Well off to breakfast, vacuum, cleaning the silverware container and put it and silverware back into it and into the drawer. That will be done and will work on a cabinet each day.

Have a good Thursday.

Good Morning Sisters and Happy Friday to all,

Workout is finished and today all i need to do is pick up some wrapping paper for a Birthday Gift . Friend who bakes all the goodies is coming up and she is so good to us all year with the cookies etc plus also a Birthday gift i always try and find something for her . Not easy cause she has a lot of friends and they all buy for her so she is one that has everything. I found some nice 60$ earrings (on sale for 20$) and some bath and body works . I'm sure she will like them . Glad that is done all Birthdays done until April so a break.

It is snowing out but I don't think they are calling for much . Funny I was at Krogers yesterday and one of the customers was saying she wished it would snow instead of raining . Hmm I thought don't we usually get enough. A nice break is ok .

Well I just wanted to stop in and say Hey . Time to jump in the shower and then Lucy will be busy with Whites.

Later.

Hi All,
No new workouts to report. :( I will keep plugging away. I am working on healthy eating choices and not doing too bad. I am trying to stay away from grains and legumes right now, or at least drastically reduce them. That is going okay.

Hi Bama great workout for you!! Yes we do get a nice summer up here. Mostly June, July and August but when you are used to cooler temps, warm for us would not work for others. :D
Becky get her to write what she knows about your family. Once the generation is gone we lose all that info and then it doesn't get passed down to the next generation. You should be proud of your ancestors. :)
Sue the soup is good. feet didn't seem to get any worse so I will give the dvd another go sometime on the weekend. Yes it was a good ice storm for us but we did not go without power and had no other problems.
Hi Mo and YAH I hope all is well.

Bama I see you got a nice workout in on Friday morning and are wrapping up a birthday gift for your baking friend. Sounds like some wonderful b-day gifts for her. Oh I miss Kroger's. Lucy and Ethel were busy Friday too with clothes.

You have been doing great Chris so one day isn't bad plus lots of walking to work too with the weather. Great on the healthy eating choices too and glad you are doing well. Good for you on the grains and legumes too.

Reminds me of upstate NY Chris, as it got warm here in August but nothing like here. 70s, 80s and a rare 90.....but kills you is the humidity. Which is why we get away with the 102's and higher....NO HUMIDITY....at least not for us.

I agree Chris, as I am proud of ancestors. Yes, mouth was watering reading about the soup. Glad to hear your feet didn't get any worse and have fun with the DVD this weekend. Glad you didn't lose power.

Well I am done with stories, got mail all answered too and now off line to play some games.

I didn't sleep Saturday night so got comics all done and some stories.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend,

Sue

Good Morning , Just stopping in to say Hello, Busy week for us . Cold is back and may get some snow . I see new York is suppose to get some. Did catch that on fox but i have been staying away from the News channels .

Sorry about the no sleep Sue . I woke upat 3 this morning and decided to NOT get up. Went back to sleep and had the weirdest nightmare and it woke me at 5ish. So did get up and do strength . I must have really tossed and turned during the nightmare as I used a bunch more sleep calories then normal. (fitbit)

Well I need to get moving if I am going to accomplish anything today.

Hi Chris, Mo, Becky and Yah . Keep Moving .

Good morning ladies,

Well little Lab here has the right idea.....

Image

Bama, I slept the night through and yes Western NY is supposed to get hit hard again....and this is why I live in California. Chuck just read me a story about them protesting in Los Angeles with a gal with a crop top and shorts on (only in California LOL) and the guy who wrote it said the rest of the country hates us anyway and this is only one of the reasons why LOL

We watch our 11 p.m., news here and that's it. Chuck watched PBS news and some nights I will stay up too and watch with him. But most I am asleep.

Thanks Bama, on the sleep and OMG I hate those kind of dreams. I didn't realize you wore those Fitbits to sleep with too. I see you got your workout in. I am off to do a quick mail check, breakfast and then workout.

Hope you get all you want to done today.

A BIG HI to all of you....and hope your day goes well.

Sue
