Also a minimum of 2/3 cup, usually more of M&M's. Somewhere around 800 cal. per day of junky sugar carbs, if figures are correct. This week, I finish last bag of M&M's, switch to Truvia/Stevia, and went to fat-free/sugar free creamer. Not sure what differences I will see and feel, but it can't do any harm to give these things up....I don't think. I will Try to replace those calories with lean protein, but expect to lose weight, just on these changes alone. I will give it some time, and see what happens, I do want to lean down for the Summer.
Way to go! You'll notice a difference :) That's a lot of M&Ms!!!!

Yuh, for sure, it's a bad habit I've needed to end for awhile. wife buys them in like 3lb. bags, and there kept in a cupboard/pantry thing in our hallway, so every trip through, its very easy to grab a handful......very bad, very bad. I can't imagine the caloried I've consumed over the past year of these babies. I've notice feeling hungrier since giving up the sugar, creamer, and M&M's. I wouldn't think of them as being filling foods, or as having much substance, but definately seems tummy is emptier. Mostly diet is the same foods everyday.

hmm....interesting. Sat. and Sun. stomach was growling constantly, and I'm eating the same amount I always do. I haven't heard stomach growl for months. Really suprised me.

Yes, that would make it very easy to munch out on them all day, just a handful at a time, glad to see u giving them up. Tell your wife - none of those little Pastel Easter M&M's allowed!! It will be hard at first, but you can adjust. I think you are feeling hungrier because it's been a habit for so long and you are missing the habit (and the extra calories). Are you replacing those calories with something else? Do you eat vegetables, fruit, or salads? try munching on celery and all natural PB or some strawberries, grapes to help with the sweets craving - they gotta be better for ya than the uh....I won't say it, don't want to remind you of them, but you know...the "M" words.

Not sure this is the best thing, but if I want some chocolate, I make up a small choc. protein shake, like half a serving. Don't want to overdo on this stuff, but I figure its better then the M word.....hehe. I think I started protein shakes in August, and will just finish 3rd- 2 lb. container. So basically 6lb. of protein powder in like 8 mos. I wouldn't think that would be too much. She also brought home some greek yogurt, with frozen mixed berries to mix in, its like 26g protein per cup........ :)

I definately need to eat more fruit, though it can be hard to keep around our house, as the two of the boys really like it, and Barbie eats alot of it....of course there is always those choc/mint Girl Scout cookies..... .........who bought those things....geees

Tues. 3-30-10

Flat Bench--15x45, 12x95, 135/12,10,8,7

Incline Bench--115/9,8,7,7

DB Fly's/Press--30lb. DB's--12,12,12

Tricep Ext.--55/13,14,10,8

Good workout overall. Had spent the day laying underneath Mits Eclipse, scraping, and renewing the undercoating, so it felt great to be free, and lifting. Energy level dropped mid-afternoon (same thing yesterday) maybe due to diet changes. Both days I toasted half of a WW bagel, and put some grape jelly on top, really seemed to perk me up, though I don't know if its the best choice. This was pre-workout. In coffe today, I was putting 1 stev, 1 truv, and a tbsp, of honey...is that sposed to be nasty? I've never heard of anyone putting Honey in Coffee, so thought it wasn't allowed, but feeling like a rebel, I went for it, and like it. If I die in the night, you'll know why.
Chest, and tri's were bumming after this one.....
