maybe this should have been your first clue? lol!
Glad you got some new stuff. I personally love Truvia - it is the closest to "real" sugar - in texture and taste that I have tried. :D

How much different is Stevia comared to Truvia? I couldn't find Truvia at grocery store so I got the Stevia instead and I like it - is the Truvia better for you in any way or does it just taste better?

I don't think it is necessarily better for you over Stevia. It is made from stevia plant and has Erythritol in it - a fermented sugar alcohol found in pears and grapes. I beginning to wonder if any of it is "good" for us - :? There is so much info out there on the web, pro and con that I just get totally confused.

I thought stevia was the plant, and truvia the end product? Or the other way around.

HAHA...for sure. The package was definately a sure sign, but I'm like "ah its packaged air-tight, so figured still, but wow......very bitter. I have tried the Truvia today, and this is doable without too much pain, its actually pretty good, just getting the quantity right. I haven't had "fresh" Stevia, as in not ancient.... so I wouldn't say I've given it a fair shake, but didn't like it as I had it.

Hoping to make positive changes, sometimes it hard to tell what is good and what isn't. Kind of like trial and error I guess. Do want to lean down though, and not sure how body will react too dumping 5-800 calories a day of basically junk food (high carb/high fat) as in M&M's........

For sure......you knew I was teasing you though, I hope. Do you sweeten things at all, like with honey or anything? I know its been discussed before, but don't remember you response, or if you were in on the conversation.

Haha.......I only have it once in a great while, but we get pure Maple Syrup from Canada...doesn't have all the junk that regular syrup does. Not sure how Honey would taste on Frenchy Toasty...... :?:

If the Toast was Whole-grain it would make for a good post-workout Carb source. Probably a pretty similar effect to things like Palatinose or Glucomannan, all barring the fact you're spreading a Simple Carb on top of a Complex one, not cleverly interlocking them with expensive tech

hmmmm.....interesting. Curious how carbs play a role with a balance between energy levels, and muscle definition.

Yes/ It's mainly about usable Carbs, versus excess. is mainly unusable Carbs, converted to a secondary energy source, for supposed use at a later dae.

Obviously obese people use very little of those secondary Carbs, so they keep storing them, then eventually peak and just regain what little per day, they actually burn / oxidise.

Winds of Change

Sat. 3-27-10

DB Step-ups--60/12,12,12

DB Side Laterals--8lb. DB's/15,15,15

Went real light today, due too Sundays Volleyball match. Only 3 more games in the regular season, then finals.
Since I started lifting last year, I have consumed at least 4-5 Tbsp. of Sugar per day, in coffee, as well as probably 1/4 cup a day of regular creamer. Also a minimum of 2/3 cup, usually more of M&M's. Somewhere around 800 cal. per day of junky sugar carbs, if figures are correct. This week, I finish last bag of M&M's, switch to Truvia/Stevia, and went to fat-free/sugar free creamer. Not sure what differences I will see and feel, but it can't do any harm to give these things up....I don't think. I will Try to replace those calories with lean protein, but expect to lose weight, just on these changes alone. I will give it some time, and see what happens, I do want to lean down for the Summer.

Sun. 3-28-10

7 Volleyball games, as I was asked to sub for another team. Great workout, lots of long rally's, and lots of good hitting...our setters were right on. heart was definately beating.

Had a blast with all of you on Friday, really made it a great day... you all ROCK..
