Today's workout:

5K trail/road race
Had a good run, wasn't very fast today - it was so hot and humid. I was sweating buckets. Didn't place - they only gave 1st place overall finishers medals. I was 6th overall. Won a gift certificate for $50 at our local Running/Sports Store. Sweet!!

Good to see you are still "Trucking" along! I love the fact that you never give up and push yourself more and more. I like your workouts, they look a bit like what I'm doing these days, trying to focus on the core. I have a confession to make....(drum roll)..... trainer has me doing push ups! Ha!!! Not full body, but she showed me the way....and it feels good! And oh - she's got me doing weird versions of planks too  Of course this is where I should have started a few years ago....no time like the present!

Thanks for checking in on me friend - I think of you often :)

Way to go on the race - that's no small accomplishment :D I know, I'm a little late, but better late than never!

Thanks Becky. :)

Today's workout:

3.5 mile - dreadmill
too hot to run outside when I got home from work - 100 degrees. Wasn't feeling all that well, but pushed on anyway. Felt good about 1.5 miles into the run, took care not to push it too much, did not want to risk re-injuring hamstring (last 2 times were on the treadmill).

still not feeling well - a little down, not sure why - maybe it is the weekend coming up... first Father's day without dad. Yesterday marked 6 months that he has been gone. This year is going to be full of alot of "firsts" sadly.

This a.m.'s workout:

using Resistance Bands:

2 x 12 squat w/overhead press
2 x 12 Standing row

2 x 12 x 2 lunge w/single arm lateral raise
2 x 12 tricep extensions

2 x 12 x 2 single arm bent rows
2 x 12 x 2 step ups w/single arm upright row

2 x 12 standing chest press
2 x 20 bicycle crunch

tried to do compound movements in most of the exercises for a more intense workout - it def. worked. :)

Have a good day everyone. :)

Just try to remember all of the good memories of him that would make you smile. cousin is really struggling right now as well. It is coming up on a year since uncle passed away and it will be their first Father's Day without him. It is hard for me to think about, so I can't imagine how bad that is for you :(

Just remember how much he loved you! He definitely deserves to be honored this weekend for bringing up such a wonderful daughter :)

*HUGS*
