If protein shakes get lumpy, use a Blender or a Fork. The lumps should sluice through the fork tines pretty easily, if you're getting issues mixing with a spoon.

Hello Martin,

I usually just mix protein ahead of time and let it sit for about an hour. That seems to help the lumps dissolve. Not sure if that would work for your powder though.

Martin I have got to say I am SO STINKING PROUD OF YOU RIGHT NOW! Your meals today look GREAT! Gosh if i were there right now Id be giving you a HUGE pat on the back! You got protein with breakfast, protein with lunch, and protein with dinner. You also made sure to get atleast 2000 calories!!! Whoop!! Great job friend!

I hope your head feels better tomorrow. Are you drinking lots of water? If not make sure you are. That makes a huge difference in how i feel. :)

As for the weights... I would buy them. You've stuck with this for a long time now and it seems like you would benefit in increasing the weight that you're using... if not now then in the future. I think they would be a good investment.

I agree. Adjustable weights are ALWAYS a better and cheaper way to go than Dumbbells, if you're looking for a lot of variable weight use.

Thanks, i think il possibly buy it than, £30 seems pretty cheap, ive used it before round friends and it would be better for me to have in garden or so for weight training days then having to ask him every time and going round there. I haven't really got money to spend but that seems a good deal right?

I have no idea how much money that is or what that converts to in US $s. Any idea?

Oh... $50? I'd go for it Martin.

Your meals need work. I'm pretty sure thats not even close to 2000 calories. No protein with breakfast and you really need a meal between breakfast and lunch and another meal between lunch and dinner.

I know, ive snacked on things like peanuts however, and im pretty sure it's near 2000 calories? 5 sausages, and mash possibly take up a big percentage?

Also only did 35 mins on stationary bike today, i know i did walking up town but i don't really count that as cardio, however it was much easier to do today, i did about 15mins after dinner and i have so much more energy, even now i don't feel as drained and struggerling as much as did before, i was sweating ALOT but still even now i feel fine which is a good feeling.

Nice job Martin! Your diet looks great! How are you energy levels today? I'm glad to hear that you had lots of energy yesterday! The more energy you have the harder you can workout and the more you'll get out of your workouts... meaning bigger muscles. :)

I have some bad news for myself today unfortunately Cassie, although ive eaten quite alot, i feel soooo drained, tireless, struggerling to cope sort of. I don't know what is causing it, i would like to ask if you had any advice as im going to explain it as best as i can.

It's mainly coming from under eyes, it feels really heavy and i just don't feel with it so much, like on the ball, last night after i had a shower from excercising and was still full of energy i felt great. Today i have felt ok, apart from as soon as i went outside as i had a dentist appointment i just feel completely not with it, like i need some massive dose of sugar or something? I don't know what it is and sorry as i probably haven't made it too clear at all either, it just sort of feels like a lot of pressure is being put under eye sort causing me to feel a little dizzy, not aware and such, ive felt this for quite a while but in some cases like today it's alot worse than others, i had an eye test yesterday and they said eye sight was fine. Perhaps i should have a blood test, and also book another appointment with gp.

Sorry to bring this along as i know it doesn't have alot to do with keeping fit and all, just thought id mention it

Hi Martin,

I sometimes have days where i feel totally out of it. In fact, yesterday I pretty much felt totally out of it all day. I think its normal to not feel totally OK every day you know? Have you been drinking lots of water? I've found that when i don't drink enough water I tend to feel lethargic and out of it. I really wouldn't worry about it too much. Maybe drink a big glass of water and take a nap or something. You could also try going for a nice walk to see if that helps. :)

Good job Martin. I'm SO proud of you for sticking with this for so long. You are doing awesome and its a pleasure to hear from you everyday.
