Todays workout:

2.5 mile run @ 6:00 a.m. Got up stretched a bit, then went out the door for a quick run. I could tell foot turnover was faster, and if it hadn't been for the traffic forcing me to stop a few times, I'm pretty sure I would have had a decent time. Felt alot stronger and faster, even tho' HIIT from Wednesday still had legs a bit tired, I can tell it is helping me with stamina and speed in the outdoor runs. And the workout from yesterday made arms sore! But that is a good thing! Must have been the ab wheel rollouts?
I am tired today, so no evening workout. Besides, it is date night with the Hubby! I know I'll find some energy for that! :D :D

Presumably on Date night, theres only one rule. No other Dried Fruit allowed

P.S. Dates have a Glycemic rating of about 105, so go easy on them yeah :P

They say "date" nights has the potential of burning tons of calories. It's amazing the things we have to endure to lose weight :) You go girl!

Had a great date :D and took a day off. But it was back to the workout this a.m.!

Todays workout:
6 mile long run outdoors
Took it easy, moderate pace. AFter 3 miles starting taking a few walk breaks (it is still so humid and warm even early in the a.m.). Had alot of hills in the run and quads and glutes were definitely letting me know about it! Had a twinge of pain across the top of right foot begin bothering me around mile 4 and a little bit of shin pain same leg. I slowed the pace and walked a bit more. I guess it is body's reaction to the hard surfaces of the street, it is not used to it.
All in all, it was an awesome morning, great run, felt good...can't wait to go again! :D Have a great labor day everyone!

Yeah, idea of the perfect day:

Get up when I wake up..not when the alarm goes off
Have unlimited time for workout
All of us actually eating breakfast at the table together
Reading the newspaper cover to cover with no one poking their finger in it or stealing the crossword puzzle section!
Spending time with son, "quality time"
All of us doing something together, swim/play in the pool, go for a drive, etc.
Healthy lunch
Naps for everyone!
Relaxing, each of us doing our own thing
Dinner
Tv time (everyone watching the same show, and not SPONGEBOB!)
Evening time (me and hubby)-talk about the day, discuss future ideas, plans, life, etc. - listen to each other
movie, bed, sleep
ahhh, that's the life :D

and then their is a "regular" day:

wake up at 5:30 when the alarm goes off...reset alarm for 6:00
get up at 6:00 - drag self to living room, get down on floor for stretches...fall asleep
wake up at 6:30...no time for workout now, decide to do it in the evening.
Shower, dress, get son up...make his breakfast, tell him to get dressed....make lunches for son & husband (no time to make mine, I'll get something later) Make two fruit smoothies to go for me and husband. Pack lunches. hang up husbands work clothes, after "ironing" them in the tumble cycle of the dryer for a few minutes. :D
remind son to get dressed, brush teeth, comb hair...try to do the same for myself - no time for makeup...well maybe a little mascara - don't want to scare the co-workers!
Wake up hubby, tell him to get in the shower. Kiss & hug goodbye,
Comb son's hair on the way out the door while saying "did you brush your teeth...well it's too late now, eat a breath mint!!"
Get in the car, begin drive to school....turn around go back, get son's school backpack! Rush to school, kiss/hug...watch him walk up the sidewalk...satisfied he is safe. Fight parking lot gridlock....drive to work.
Work, work, work. Leave, go pick up son from school...go home, feed son, squeeze in workout....make dinner (wash clothes, dishes, clean kitchen) Get son off to bed....have a little time to talk to hubby...get on computer...watch tv. fall asleep reading....go to bed....start all over in about 6 hours....!! :D
Are you as tired as I am now? WheW!!

A handstand using a wall to lean against, then slowly lower down into a vertical pushup. I read about them somewhere....you should have seen me just trying to get into the handstand up on the wall position...it's been a long time since 4th grade gymnastics! But it was just too much, I don't think I was close enough to the wall so back was taking too much pressure. It is something I will work on....I like a challenge...speaking of challenge...

bring it on girl!! Lol! That's what I love about sharing our workouts, it pushes us and challenges us to "keep up" with the others, and try new things, test our limits...why, if it wasn't for you I would never have discovered the joys (and agonies) of bulgarian squats! Ha! :D
