Ow...Ow...Ow... SO sore today in glutes and lower back muscles. All those squats and deadlifts (using a DB) and squat swings (squat, swing the DB as if it were a kettle ball down between the legs and then drive up with the legs swinging the DB up even with your shoulders & repeat a million times)
And I only did the first half of the DVD workout! I don't think I'd be walking today if I did the whole 1 hr.
Definitely worth $9 investment.
If I drop anything on the floor today, it is just gonna half to stay there....if I bend down to pick it up, I think I will die.

That's how I was feeling for the last two days after doing the P90X Plus Total Body DVD - I had to take two days off because I was hurting so bad It was a good hurt, though! I had to do a lot of walking and bending when I was working (usually I am at a desk) and coworkers were laughing at me because I had to squat so slowly and I moaned every time

I liked it - it is tough, but i wasn't as sore as I had epected afterwards. It is the only yoga I have done so I don't know how it compares to others. It wasn't the traditional holding yoga poses that I had expected. There were moves I couldn't do, so it definitely gives me something to work towards

I think we might need a R rating symbol before entering Lynne's Journal..

yeah, it's been a real hoot around here lately!
Today's workout:
4.0 miles - treadmill @ 38:54
.3 cooldown (about 4 minutes)
stretch hammies, quads, calves
still a bit sore from that dvd workout 2 days ago. Today was the first day I could even imagine working out - I have been in some serious glute, inner quad, hammie pain...but in a good way.
Well, I survived the entire 1 hour of Bob Harper's Inside out cardio dvd. I only made it 30 minutes the first time. This time son was in the room screaming "come on Momma!!!! YOU.....CAN.....DO......IT......8...7...6....COME ON.....5....4....3....DON'T STOP!!! 2.....1. Only a few more minutes to go!!!"
I thought I was gonna faint at one point, then I thought I was gonna puke....then I just plain wanted to die...lol! But I stuck with it and finished. The one legged push ups were pure evil...Sweat slinging, butt screaming, pulse raising workout, I survived....and I loved every minute of it.
LOL! I guarantee you I would not have pushed myself to go the entire hour if he had not been on butt about not quitting - so it definitely helped to be held accountable during the workout.
I hope I won't be overly sore tomorrow as well. I don't think I will since I just got over being sore from the first workout, hopefully muscles will be somewhat conditioned now? Post workout I ate a banana and drank a protein shake with 15 grams protein - hope that helps.
