Okay yeah, though what I was taught was a one thousand one..one thousand two count.. up & then the same for down. Then other instructor said it can be as high as 4 up, 4 down, which seems awfully long to me.

4 up and down? sounds like murder. lol i wouldn't be able to do that. no way. i'm happy i had asked about the 60% thing. sure made a hell of a lot more sense. i self never seen such a high rep and few sets. it was like how u had mentioned to me before. well i'll just give it a try and see how it works out. i'll let ya know how body responds to it. i know today i crashed after i took shower. lol. so this will make a difference i'm sure.

Be aware, that if you start using a lower reps, higher weight methodology you will get less Lactic Acid burn, but potentially get DOMS, (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness), instead.

This is something that will usually occur within 24 hours of a workout if it happens, but go within 48 hours of happening, so don't worry about that if it happens.

Over time it will get less and less after each workout, as the body becomes accustomed to the things you do.

Sofar its been 2 weeks since i have been on this new work out and diet routine. its been going really good! i went from 235 the day they had weighed me to 229! so avg. loss of 3lbs a week. not bad. the nutrition classes have been very helpful as well. they mentioned to watch a movie called food inc. which by the way after watching it is scary what these companies are doing to us. anywho, i'm really happy with the results that im seeing. i hope that this continues. goal is to stay in the 2-3lbs loss a wk. i hope to weigh in @ 200 by the end of this for the bahamas. ive even started taking a mulitvimin every morning eating breakfest and bringing lunch with me everyday. its starting to not be as hard anymore to be around all the junk food at work. ill keep ya posted as thing progress.

You might want to check out Multivit post, to make sure you're using something worthwhile :).

Assuming you haven't done so already.

time for a self intervention.

Post by rockchick_82808 »

well....i had given up working out for quite some time. to be honest that was since i made last post. i have been under a deep depression and this past week grandfather had passed and i was in charge of all the arrangements. now that grandfather is in a better place and grandma is slowly making a come back, i want to go back to focusing on myself. i have gained ten pounds since May this year and tonight when i get home from work i will be making a plan with boyfriend.
so far with what i had come up with is checking in with him each nite going over food journal and exercise. i am also going to finally hand over the scale to him and have it in his hands so i only weigh in once a week and not everyday. i noticed when i obsess about it and see a incline of less then a pound i feel i'm wasting time. Also i decided to start cooking with boyfriend even though i hate cooking i want to make an effort now to cook with him. if any one has any suggestions I'm open for it. I'm going to have the discussion late with him tonite and i will be checking blog through out the day at work when i get bored. lol. love phone. any who i just want to put it out there i still haven't given up completely even with whats been going on i really want this. i don't want to be that person to turns for surgery for results. that wont help if i don't change habits. ill just end up where i am now. its time to be tougher on myself than ever and get this crap taken care of.

Mental, emotional and physical wellbeing go hand in hand. All 3 form a powerful symbiosis. If either of the first two are lacking, the last one becomes so much harder to control.

Don't give yourself a hard time. You've done nothing wrong, you just perhaps learned something about lifes effects on the emotions and how better to deal with such in the future.

You may have learned something that made you a stronger and more capable person. Take any possible positives out of this as you can and work with them :).

thank you everyone. i appreciate all the support. i did come to realize as to how much i eat when i get depressed. it was a habit i created when i was little. its something that i need to pay more attention to as it happens and come up with others ways to deal with it when it occurs. such as listening to music, going out for a walk something active to change the mood for the better. it will be tough but i am up the challenge.

when everyone spook of becoming happy it helped me look back as to how much better life has become this past year since moving with bf and his family. less stress ect. its been hard to let go of how i was treated in the past by own family. i was constantly talking about it. these past few months i have been cutting back. i'm tired of looking back at how i was hurt. i want to look forward to the brighter future that lays before me. ive been through so much in life and now its time to close that door. i wont forget what i have learned from experiences by any means i just have to learn to move on.

did a class by myself

Post by rockchick_82808 »

today was the first time i had enough courage to do a workout class by myself. months ago i went to this cardio kickboxing class with friend but could barely keep up. well today i realized how badly i wanted to be in it. i went to the class today and of course i was the only big girl there and newbee to top it off, but u know what...i stayed. i almost felt so intimated and wanted to walk out. i figured it was time to do the things i have always wanted to do. just because i was the biggest doesnt mean i didnt belong. who knows, one of those women could of been where i am today. the only way i will ever get there myself is to work at it. after the first ten minutes i wanted to cave but some how i found the strength to go on for the next 50 min! i pushed so hard. sure i had to do some of the moderated moves but i stuck to it. if i felt i was pushing too hard for body i went at own pace. i wanted to finish this class not fall down half way into it. i had so much fun! i would like to ask manager to work every wed. morning so i can continue this. i really want to see myself improve. i want this so bad. i dont care if i may not drop pounds because of it i just want to keep up with the class. thats goal. even though i have fat on tummy right now i cant believe how tight it feels. lol! i feel so good right now granted i dont feel like moving anywhere lol but i feel relaxed now.

also today i was a good girl and didnt buy candy from work. lol random i know. lets make this day one of breaking the candy habit. small goals here but its a start.

I'm sending you a BIG HUG, because you kepe givign me reasons to be proud of you.

Nearly every time you have a knock back with this, you do things like you said you did. You prove somethign to yourself and you do something positive and life enhancing for yourself.

Those are reasons why I belive in you and will continue to support and encourage you. You have in some ways a beautiful vulnerability, but also a lot of hidden strength, which you found some of in the last 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours, you grew and blossomed more as a person. You realised more about what being you can actually mean and what it can be worth and what you can become as a person.

This 24 hours was probably one of the best periods of your life.

So celebrate what you did, be proud of it, learn from it and look on it as a great moment in your journey. You ARE strong, you ARE capable and you WILL be something far more, than anybody that ever hurt you or made you feel like crap.

You will be BEAUTIFUL and SPECIAL and VALUABLE, but most of all you will be YOU and it will mean a heck of a lot, for the rest of your life misses :).

This is where you start getting your rewards in life. GOOD LUCK. You are AMAZING!!!!

:) :).

so...i found out that the kickboxing is 3days a week but a different instructor on fridays. i went this morning and omg! she does the class as though shes actually teaching u to fight. its soooo intense and doesnt show any modifications to any of her moves. people were actually leaving her class but get this...i didnt! thats right i stuck it out! i went all the way and did every move. now i wont lie when i say i messed up in parts bc I'm not use to the names of punches and how quick she changes up her combos but i did pretty damn good today! i cant believe it! it was funny. the gym posted this class in studio 1. and when i went to the door it showed thats where the class was held so i walked in. then people are grabbing steps ect. im thinking this cant be right. i walked up to the instructor she said they switched rooms. gerr. so i missed the first 5mins but didnt matter to me. i made myself a spot and jumped right in. it was funny though. Both instructors are really nice and its good to have a change up. i really like it. it felt so good to know that i was able to keep up and push myself as hard as i did.

i also found out that lifetime fitness is having a special zumba event. they do have the class regularly but in october there is a guy who travels with a band and does it in the gym and brings those party lights too. im gonna sign up for it. i have to drive out of the way to go to this gym bc its not at mine but i think it will be worth it. get to try something new and have fun with it! ill post if i was able to sign up. its been a process for me in having to make calls and no one answering. i eventually had to leave a message. the instructor said it was the 23rd but the web says the 22nd. talk about a mess. lol.
