They showed those shows in the UK? I think we got the better of the exchange in getting Dr. Who.Boss Man wrote:The look coupled with the black clothes, it's like you're a character from Space 1999, or Battlestar Galactica or some such 1970's programme.

Re: Work In Progress - FitoverForty
scale is evil and a liar!!
Shows a 5lb weight gain.
Impossible. It's got to be a bit of sodium retention from all the Thanksgiving food , plus it's the week before "that" week. I refuse to accept it as an actual weight gain. There is NO way I have consumed enough excess calories to equal 5 whole pounds in less than a week!
Ughhhhh!!!

Yes they did show those. You definitely enjoyed the better deal with Doctor who.
You can also go on a BBC website and watch classic Doctor Who clips, just google "classic doctor who", or something like that.

What do you mix your tuna with for tuna sandwiches?

I have some lite mayo that I use. I don't like the FF kind.
I rarely have tuna sandwiches anymore, usually I just mix tuna with some LF cottage cheese and a few almonds - yummy! If I have a slice or two of avocado all the more better!
I'm still trying to learn how to eat a sandwich without chips...some habits are hard to break, and problem is that I will eat too many chips. I've tried eating carrots or other veggies - but deep inside I'm yearning for the good ole' Ruffles potato chip. I like to eat the little ridges one ridge at a time...I know, I have a problem.
name is Lynne and I'm a chipoholic.

Hey, there are worse 'aholics!! Interesting mix of tuna and cottage cheese, I am having a hard time imagining it - maybe I will get up the nerve to give it a try

Isn't it subway that came up with the bags of toxin ( chips ) with their sandwich's ? Blame them.
Re: Work In Progress - FitoverForty
Awww Lynne - Chips and Dip (Ranch Dressing) was ultimate downfall
I believe the majority of weight gain came from that as I was known to chow down on an entire bag of chips, soaked in that dressing more often than not. Somehow (must have been shear determination) I was able to stop completely when I began this journey. It's hard for me to understand how I can still gain weight when I've given up so much stuff - chips and dip, all soda, sugar..it goes on and on?!?! But, I do have on occasion Stacey's Simply Naked Pita Chips with roasted red pepper hummus. That seems to satisfy chip cravings - maybe you could try it. But oh how I miss those chips!

Success! 2.5 of those 5 lbs. gone at this morning's weigh in.
On a positive note, we are having our family Christmas dinner this weekend at mom & dad's. She asked me to bring a sliced fruit tray and salad! yay! In years past, I was always asked to bring famous Velvetta cheese Sausage dip with a big bag of Tostitos! I'm so glad to see parents choosing healthier options now. With dad's health issues, he cannot afford junk and sugar/fat laden foods. None of us can, really. older brother just had his 2nd heart attack in 2 years, he is only 3.5 years older than me! So I am planning on bringing some sliced strawberries, grapes, apples. And a big mixed green salad with lots of bell pepper (red & green), onion, mushrooms, tomato. And I'm making homemade healthy FF greek yogurt dressing. Hopefully they will like it.
Last year in addition to the velveeta dip, I brought oven roasted Zucchini & Squash, it was devoured, not a morsel left.
Maybe I'll bring that again. And i brought some stewed cabbage with Deer sausage (very lean) - yummmmm!!! Okay, I'm hungry now....

I wish I could blame them...but I can remember as far back as elementary school, mom would pack us kids a PB & J sandwich and a bag of chips. She would buy the variety packs single serving bags of Cheetos, Doritos, Fritos, etc. In the past, whenever we had a family get together, if serving sandwiches there is always several bags of chips & dips to choose from. It's just the way we think it has to be - it is hard to change old habits especially when it is so good together! But change we must!Bonnie wrote:Isn't it subway that came up with the bags of toxin ( chips ) with their sandwich's ?

Today's high here was 23
That was the high. But I do know when you aren't used to it it can be unbearable! I remember when I would visit sister in Florida, people would be wearing parkas when it hit 70 degrees
Your lunch sounds awesome
(that's as close as I could get to drooling with the smilies)
