Oh no!! Do not envy me...I am way far away from you've reached. I could never not have anything sweet for 30 days in a row!

I mean it's a great thing to stop eating all of these processed sweets, and candies...and stuff, but it's not goal for now. I know I can do a lot of things, for example...there were times where I did not have MacDonald for 3 months in a row. issue is more about how schedule and timing is because it's constantly changing. Sometimes if the opportunity presents itself, I end up thinking or doing things I haven't done before. For example I only started eating MacDonald on quite constant basis when uni schedule allowed me to eat off-campus...and at the time I was so like in a depressed mood and didn't care much about body or anything. i hated it...but I had this thought: Im already here, what's the point.

Now...the pants that 5 months ago used to barely fit me, and I had to actually keep the button open and cover it with a belt thats loose...now are WAY lose, and I have to tighten belt real hard!

For me, this on its own a big thing I've achieved in the past 3-4 months.

I know occasionally it seems that I eat a lot of crap in the day, but I know how body reacts to certain foods. What makes it "look" fat and what does not. and what "really" makes it and fat and what does not.

Oh god..im blabbing...lol..i have class in 10 minutes...

Bottom line...I think we all are doing great, and we all have our own goals to achieve, and all on our own time/terms...right?

Lol...I used to wear a lot of baggy before...now I wear normal slim-cut pants...hehe.... pants around the waist/hips...stopped fitting me...now they fall off! I can literally yank the pants down w/o unbuttoning some of them!

Meals today:

9:00 Special K Cereal, green tea

10:30 2 munchkins and coffee and 1 whole wheat sandwich with low fat labneh and zatar

12:45 Subway: whole wheat: turkey breast, olives, mustard, lettuce, 1 slice of LFcheese w/ 20g of peanuts

after few hours...I have no idea what happened to stomach....it was a complete mess and felt weird...=S

5:00 Protein shake and granola bar

8:00 Whole wheat pasta and turkey

...and soon 11:45...I know its a bit late-ish...but I will sleep after another 1-2 hours.

2 rice cakes with PB and protein shake.

So far this week...I haven't done cardio except once..lol...45 mins...I shouldnt lose much muscle now!

I'll say it...............

food was shit today in one way only: ate too much cake.

12:30 S. K Protein Plus w/low fat milk and 1 egg, green tea + small piece of cake

3:00 Grilled chicken, rice, veggies

4:45-5:45 Weights (started the new program with lower body -details below-)

6:00 Protein shake

7:30 Whole wheat pasta with 3 slices of turkey, 4 pieces of vine leaves with rice inside, and...ehm...a bigger piece of cake than the morning.

11:00 Protein shake, 1 rice cake with PB, and ANOTHER small piece of cake...

Why so much cake? There was a birthday in the house yest. and mom got the yummiest cake ever, and Im not a big fan of cake or eat it often. I honestly eat cake every 3-4 month or so....but this cake is STH. I wish they'd finish it by tom so I don't EAT anymore of it!!!

So the new program.

Wow...while I was in 2nd exercise doing the Lunges I already felt the PAIN.

So this is what I did with the weight:

Friday: Lower day 1 Sets/Reps 5x5

weighted-Squats: 15 kgs
on back. You know...I could do more I could add at least another 10 or so, but the only problem, I literally have to carry the weight on own, because for me to get assistance for certain exercises I need a personal trainer and a personal trainer means = a lot of money. Which I do not have or can afford at this point of life.

Walking Lunges with 7kgs in each arm. Okay so I sneaked ONE bicep curl to see if I can handle lifting 7 kgs..and guess what? I can! I remember the days where I used to fantasize lifting 5 kgs! So yup. Muscles getting bigger, even if they don't show.

Leg Press 50kgs all the way through.

Hamstring Curls 20kgs

Leg extensions 15kgs

Calves 50kgs

What do you guys think of these weights with 5x5? Am I being too easy on myself? With curls and ext. I cannot control the movements so I could increase next week...but I think these are okay weights, not easy nor too hard.

but...I don't sweat much. Do I need to sweat to have had a good workout? I'm not a sweaty person..........in general. I barely sweat like crazy...

Mmmm... I haven't had cake in so long. I could go for a piece of cake about now.

As for the weights.... If you feel like they are too easy (as in you could easily to a bunch more reps after completing your set) then increase the weights. Everybody is different so I can't you if yours are too light or too heavy. Only you can determine if they are too light or too heavy for you.

As for the sweating... honestly I don't sweat much either. I used to sweat a ton but lately it takes alot to make me sweat. I know when i'm working hard and when I need to work harder. Go by how you feel now by how much youre sweating.

Soooo.... what kind of cake was it?

It's a yummy choco cake. It's weird, in the middle it has this creamy thing that's white and gray...and choco cake, and ...oh god! It's so GOOD. I'd so give you a piece if u were here!

As for the weights, I start to get really worked up in the last 1 or 2 set where It feels like I'm done with the exercise. Like for the lunges. Boy the last set was crazy, I had to push myself to get that last rep.

But do the weights seem okay? Like i know for the squats I could do 30, and in the FF gym there is no smith machine for me to use. It's like only one muscley chick at the gym get all the attention and support from the staff. She does have a trainer, but at least 3 people assist her with her lifting. It makes me sad =(

I mean, doing squats or bench pressing with extra weight that I probably can handle during exercise and not set up...won't affect that much at this point...I feel upset about this sometimes.

Oh man I'm regretting asking you about the cake. LOL! I haven't had any form of sweets, treats, or cheats for a very long time and am seriously struggling today. Hearing about your cake made mouth water.

If you can do 30 of those squats I think you need to increase the weight. On every exercise you should really have to push to get that last rep in. If the last rep is easy increase the weights.

aww...im sorry cassie...I know ure going for another competition soon....I honestly have no idea how you can do it or anyone to deprive yourself from such things. I really find it amazing...but I know it's just not for me or what I want...

and no, I mean I probably can handle doing sqauts with 30 kgs, not 30 reps..lol I wouldn't be even close to do 30 reps with 15 kgs...

I only struggled in the LAST rep in the LAST set....but since I don't have anyone who would help me to put the heavier weight on back I have to opt for what I can carry above head and one back on own...you know :(...I know it sucks and it makes me mad at times...but what can I do?

Oh god.............IM SO EFFING SORE!

Finally legs got a decent workout since 4 weeks! I feel sore all over. BUTT, inner thighs, Quads...Hammies (I like callin' em that...)

And what will happen tomorrow? UPPER body soreness.

News: Yours truly can lift a 12kgs barbell with 5 reps, and 7 kgs dumbbell with 3 reps....AMAZING...to me at least.

Meals today (plz know I'm leaving something out.)

12:00 Scrambled eggs, and special k cereal/low fat milk and green tea

2:45 (ate out...) HEALTHY tho!!!: A lot of grilled chicken, at least 25-30g, mashed potatoes and broccoli, with diet 7 up

5:45-6:45 Weights (upper body...) I think it's okay to workout out lower body a day and the next upper w/ no rest day, because it's not the same muscle group...but it seems I'd have to take 2 days off the gym. I have a feeling im gonna be sore as hell tom...all over...so only opt. is really low steady cardio. and on Mon...I won't be able to go anywhere..servicing car

7:00 protein shake

8:00 (few pieces of a fruit, i udnno whats its called, but it looks like raseberries), Whole wheat tortilla (medium size) with turkey slices, cottage cheese, mustard, lettuce, olives and 4 pieces of vine leaves with rice inside, and a few bites of hummus. It sounds a lot, it really isn't, plus it's "proper" post workout meal...so yeah...

so i didnt post for a few days......lets just say everything was healthy except one thing which I practically binged on until last night. This never happened to me before.... :|

Meals today:

12:00 2 scrambled eggs w/1 yolk and Special K cereal (ugh I hare how they pretend to be healthy, when on a 30g serving they have less than 0.5g of FIBER! and 11grams of sugar...) Sadly Dad bought a bunch and I am the only one who eats it. So bleh!! and Green tea.

3:00 grilled chicken, rice, and lemon and mint juice (god I love lemon and mint)

4:40 (weights) Upper body 10x3.......the only problem the whole thing took me about 1.5 hrs which is too much, ain't it? I often rest 1 min between sets.

For bench press: I am doing 20kgs (with different weighs than the usual, and it was hard.) In last 2 sets, I barely was able to lift the weights up. I was like oh craap! lol. Thank god I got a hold of a trainer who is free to help the "general public".

I pulled off 29reps of pushups with a few rests in between. On average I can do between 5-7 at a time. Thing is back still hurts from the day the weights fell...so I cant do things like planks, a lot of push ups, or all ab exercises....

I did a 15kg barbell military press, as opposed to doing 10, so yay for me!

6:00 Protein shake w/added fiber powder. I am having issues going to the rest room :(...since I stopped eating those 21g of fiber tortillas............ and the supermarket never brings them anymore! They were AMAZING! Taste wise, and nutrition fact wise!

7:30 I had a bit of corn with butter, lemon, cheese powder and pepper a small cup ( didnt have one in a while ) and whole wheat pasta with boiled chicken and 3 pieces of vine leaves.

I am not hungry now (11:15)..I feel sort of nauseated very much could be because I was so tired I napped at 9ish until 10ish...

but I'll have a protein shake and 1 rice cake with PB soon.

I would increase your fruit and veggie intake (remember corn isn't a veggie) if youre having bathroom problems... and make sure you're getting plenty of water.

Great job on the weights! I knew you could get by with heavier weights! :)

True...I havent been drinking a lot of water as I used to (2-2.5 liters a day). Now I'd drink 1.5lit on average.

And I know I dont eat veggies and fruits much...I dont eat fruits at all. I dont like the idea that I should have the fruit before meal...and I dont hate or like fruits much either..im indifferent to them, lol!!

Meals today:

12:00 1 egg, special k cereal and green tea

2:30 MacDonald: Mac Chicken reg. size meal (THIS was planned since last Tuesday when I craved it...but did NOT have it.)

5:00 1 Alpen Bar

6:15-7:00 Bodycombat (man..im so not energetic to do cardio anymore...in general, not just today)

7:00 Protein shake

8:00 Veggies, broccoli, lettuce, very little corn and 1 multi grain tortilla with turkey, mustard, cottage cheese, olives.

Will have another shake at 11.
