I have to increase the intensity of the cardio - and rowing times keep getting better

intensity is the pace you go at, not the duration or distance you go for

moody, you know that the "workout" you are actually doing isn't worth crap for general heath, loosing fat, and "getting in shape".

You are wasting your time
