Rice is not bad.

White is higer GI than Brown or Wild, and can if consumed often and in large amounts, possibly contribute to Fat gains and type II Diabates, the Diabates risk coming from the frequent regular high Bloodsugar spikes, affecting the individuals body over several years.

If you eat small portions of White here and there, or normal portions of Brown and / or Wild here and there, it's a not a problem.

Rice is a very nutritious easy to prepare source, and unless you're eating the stuff like Egg Fried Rice, which can be very high calorie and quite fatty, the only other real risk from Rice I know of, is for people with something like Celiacs Dieseas, as Rice can contain Gluten, but you can buy Gluten free types anyway, so that problem is negated.
