You have never heard of super setting your workout? It works for me, not saying if works for everyone. I believe in shocking muscles and getting the most out of workouts. All you're doing is going from one exercise to the next right away and then resting.Boss Man wrote:I think it's the light weight and tonnes of reps he doesn't get. Truth be known, I was wondering about that. Not to criticise, just curious as to why you advocate that.
Yeah I know about Supersetting. Even done it in time, well still do a bit, but not much.
I mostly keep about 80% of work to basics. I've tried fancier ways to train, but I like doing newb style stuff, with a few moderate / advanced things slipped in for good measure, coupled with quite a bit of failure too.
Though I'm not going into this deeply, as it will just make this discussion go to a whole new place, it isnt at now.
As for what Diana said, yes, that's what I was referring to, so apologies if I partly muddled up the situation in any way

We can all give our opinions and ideas. Everyone works differently and gets different results. If someone is trying to reduce their hips/legs, I definitely don't agree with doing lunges, squats and deadlifts.winniechan1604 wrote:Sarah, since you mentioned abductor and adductor machines are inefficient, then what would you recommend to reduce the size of hips and thighs? Also, what alternatives are there to leg extensions?
Thank you.
She needs to be doing low weight, high reps in order to tighten and tone what she wants to aquire. I also suggest supersetting exercises because it keeps her heart rate up as well. Just opinion!
The only way leg extensions are bad for you is if you're doing the entire stack of weight. She only needs to do low weight which is NOT going to hurt her knees. I have been doing them for years and never had a problem.
