Re: Fat Around Button Area?
Thanks for the responses everyone, it is hard right now as i really don't have a clue, it seems ive been pushed into electrical as the "good side" of construction, but i really feel it's not me, i can't see myself doing it, i'll have some more work experience next week, and see how it goes, but i just feel im wasting years at college learning something i don't want to particularly do, i know everyone wants a high paying job and what not, i don't know what's for me, i don't really have much interests, sound like a boring person like that, except working out and fitness lol, but there's got to be more things.
On a positive note, just found a good form of cardio for me, walked the pup over the park, let him off his lead and jogged/sprinted with him, did a total of around 30mins, 25mins jogging/sprinting, it wasn't consistent, but it was still good fun, and made a nice change.
At first when walking over the park, quads/thighs felt tight and sore and i thought this isn't going to go well, but still did it, and doing stretches now that im home, also thought the cardio may help as im supposed to be going for a drink tonight, not sure if im going to drink alcohol - and make myself seem more boring, but i'll probably end up drinking a few beers or what not.

Re: Fat Around Button Area?
Went out for a few drinks last night, few vodka and diet cokes, went home after not long was there much point, can't do cardio today as right leg feels like hamstring is pulled and all so i think the best thing i can do is rest it, it hurts when i walk, funny that left leg is fine.
So need to eat reasonably well, skipped the mcdonalds, and instead had a prawn salad - 380 cals, 11g protein, 42g carbs, 18g fat, not exactly much better..
feel so fat, ill and horrible, issues.

Hello, Martin. I creep on your thread quite a bit and I finally worked up the guts to write something.
I really hope your leg feels better soon.
Best of luck,
Jena. :]

Re: Fat Around Button Area?
It seems okay, but i'm not 100% able to tell, as the video has been shot 90 degrees anti-clockwise and I'm not cricking neck to look, but I'm pretty certain there's nothing wrong with it, so I wouldn't be too concerned about your technique.
The debate rages on about going below 90 degrees, versus stopping around 90 degrees. Some say never go below 90, some say it's okay for some people, not for others. I say when in doubt, stop at 90. The range of motion is more than adequate to get good stimulus to the Quads and Hip Flexors so there's no need to be concerned about not going lower, incase it ends up causing Knee issues in the long-term if you did.

What's going on Martin? Not sure I will be able to offer advice to 18 year old boy but if not someone can! I noticed you haven't been posting the last week.

Well, I'm terribly shy and I freak out about trying to make sure I don't embarrass myself or bug people.... It takes a lot for me to be comfortable with putting anything up that people will see and attribute to me.Martin-Boy2 wrote:Hey Jena thanks, worked up the guts to write something? Love your polo.Martin-Boy2 wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPDUEbrpY3o

Why? I'm probably not the number one idea of a person you'd think to talk to, but if you need any help, I'll do what I can, darling.Martin-Boy2 wrote:hate life.
Hating life sucks, and I know exactly what that's like. I might be helpful. I would have responded to this thread sooner, but I've been knocked out with medications.

Re: Fat Around Button Area?
Hey everyone, just thought id update you all on how ive been doing and what not.
Workouts have been going good as of late and been making some steady progress, deadlift is almost over 100kg, and squat is coming up for around 80kg, ive also discovered that rotator cuffs are a bit weak, so been adding cuban press/rotation to the end of A workouts, im sure this is what was holding me back on jump rope and what not aswell, so hopefully overtime they'll strengthen and it will other problems.
Only thing i can say im having trouble with, is calf raises, i know im limited by working out at home, so just been doing standing calf raises, 1 legged allows for the weight to be halved so it's better than having a heavy barbell on your back, also with a weight belt and dumbbells you can get enough weight, the problem for me is, even with a light weight (10kg), i have trouble doing calf raises, and the main problem seems to be because i start to feel a bit of stress on Achilles.
I thought about it and thought when i injured ankle by falling down a hole during jump rope and landing on it - CRUNCH. That it may be weak, but it's only when i turn it and when doing calf raises, i have the same problem with other foot so i don't think that's the case. Basically i can do around 4 reps or so and it starts feeling uncomfortable, not sure if i have weak calf muscles or there's more to it, but i don't know what to do about them as i want to work calves as i feel there not worked near enough on squats and deadlifts, couple of recent videos:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKWrzGsUtr0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S65cfaGUr88" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - I now have a 6ft 6 barbell so can safely self spot benching at home and will start using an arch to help minimize stress on the shoulders.

Hope you're all going well

Re: Fat Around Button Area?
Something else im really concerned about is this pain ive been having for the past 2 weeks now.
The balls in the back of neck, perhaps discs, but they feel like balls, are really raised and cause me some pain that i have to tilt head back. It keeps coming and going, sometimes triggered from working out, but for instance today i haven't worked out and they're raised as hell, feels like they are popping out of the back of neck. Im getting concerned about health as it does hurt a bit and for it to be like this for quite sometime, makes me a little worried. I think i noticed it first after a workout, but it hasn't gone since.

Re: Fat Around Button Area?
Hey everyone, just thought id post about as i haven't for a while, yesterdays session (i still workout at home, as it's preference)
Deadlift 105kg 3x5
SLDL 30kg 3x10
T-Bar row 60kg 5x5
OHP 35KG 5X5
Dips (22.5kg) 2x8 1x6 - just couldn't finish the last 2 reps
Calf Raises
Going to attempt 90-100kg squats tomorrow as i got stuck on 80kg, and want to find out if it's hesitation holding me back, never tried for maxes before, so will be interesting and hopefully not too taxing.
